G'day chicks and chickens, I hope all is well with everyone? Mon 3rd Jan A nice 3am stop at a petrol station but i am really good and have some fruit salad for an early breakfast. I have a really cute guy come and join me at my table and talk to me but he is like a bottle of pop and talks a very tired Shell to death and send my poor little head into a spin, oh i wish i was young and enthusiastic agian what energy i would have! I jump back onto the coach and manage to have myself a couple of more sleeps and arrive in Melbourne bus station only 5mins late. David has turned up to meet me so that is good that he hasn't forgotten about me because i ... read more

OK, so it's been a while since I last updated this website. I would apologise but I've been having too much fun! In case you were wondering, yes we are still away and currently in Australia. Let me take you back a few weeks… We arrived in Sydney on 11 December where Mark, my Brother, and Sal, his girlfriend (she's Aussie as but don't hold that against her) met us at the airport. We had time to do a bit of shopping and washing before a flight the next morning to Hobart, Tasmania. Our next week was spent travelling round Australia's biggest island - a full tour of the map of Tassie. Following some sea kayaking near Hobart we moved on to the Mount Field National Park for a couple of walks to Russell Falls and ... read more

Happy New Years Mates! Haha...it's already almost 3am here, next year and I still can't believe another year has passed by again. A couple of friends and I went to Sydney Opera House and waited for about 11 hours for the fire works and celebrations to begin. It was pretty cool to be near the Opera House and Harbor Bridge for bringing in the new year. There were millions of people who came out to watch and it was pretty packed all along the harbors. There are still people wandering the streets, but it's pretty quiet for the most part. The fireworks were the highlight of the night. There are so many tourists here that it's hard to say what the locals are doing. Probably at home or at some fancy bar/lounge. The non-Sydneyers like us ... read more

G'day all, Well a happy new year to you all and i hope that you all had a great one and a very drunken one too. I would love to say that i missed you all and wished that i was home but i would be lying to you. This new year was the best one i have ever experienced in my whole life and i was so glad that i came to Sydney for it as it was truely magical. This year i have decided to make a couple of new years resolutions and ones that i am going to stick to... 1) To change my appearance in some way for the better to make me into one hell of a sexy beach babe! 2) To train myself to eat salad and veggies and to ... read more

We’ve recently returned from the first half of our Christmas holiday - four days in Rotorua, the thermal capital of NZ. We’ve had a full-on few days - here’s a sample! We left Auckland at the crack of noon on Boxing Day, heading first for the airport to collect our hire car. We were pleasantly surprised that the cheap car we had booked was actually pretty new and shiny - bonus! Graeme took the wheel and we headed south for Rotorua. We arrived at about tea time, and after checking into our hostel (we were meant to be camping, but after lots of rain the previous week, decided to opt for the comfort of a roof and a bed) quickly found a nice pub in which to eat dinner. We had a relatively quiet evening - ... read more

G'day all again, Bet you are all kind of sick of me by now! Anyway New Year, New Year, i hope this is going to be a fab one and that i can try and avoid attending hospital for a whole two years in a row and i hope the new year will be so much better than the last one and that you all have a fab one without me boo hoo. Thur 30th Dec Chris ventures out early for work in the morning but was quiet as a mouse and only woke me up for a whole second or two. By the time we all got up and ready and left the house it was lunch time. Jo is having her belly button pierced so we wait for here whilst she has that done ... read more

Hello! A Merry Belated Christmas to you!! And a Happy New Year's!!! I can't believe it's already this time of the year again! Time sure goes by very quickly. Thanks for all of your emails about the tsunami and earthquake and your concern!! Fortunately, I was in the middle of the woods at the end of a 4 day trek in Tasmania when the earthquake happened. I just learned of it yesterday evening and have been watching the news as much as possible. I'm still in shock that it happened in the area that I was just in and that it's nearly anhiliated by this massive movement of the earth's plates. Apparently there are islands that have completely shifted places. I feel very very fortunate to not have been anywhere near that area. I suppose if ... read more

I've got it all wrong... I was pretty cocky in planning this trip.. the timing of things, the exotic locations I had selected..they were all perfect... but I have got it wrong. In allowing a year to explore the world, and 2 weeks for the South Pacific, I have got things the wrong way round... a year here would be just fine... this place is simply the place that daydreams are made of. Tahiti.. the name conjours up images in your mind, I bet, of reef fringed lagoons of baby blue water, swaying palm trees, pretty polynesian girls wearing floral patterns and flowers in their hair etc etc... now I hate to disappoint you, so I wont... it's all true. Well, the outlying islands are, anyway.. Tahiti is the biggest island and hub of French Polynesia.. ... read more
