There really is no point to this blog. But I wanted to share this sort of funny story. I was looking up the weather in Sydney and Auckland for the next week. Just to see what temps I was getting into. Well, I used weather.com because its what I know. The temps were in Fareheit. I had to think really hard what the numbers meant and actually converted them to Celsius so I would have a local reference. Felt kind of stupid. Ok now for some music trivia or knowledge. Here is a list of the most popular songs I've heard repeatedly in the last 2 months. Note these really aren't my types of music but its what you here in the bars/clubs and radio. #1 This was the overall #1 song I've heard in the ... read more

O gosh cant stop sleeping in til bout mid day!!!!! When we eventually left the flat we decided to go to the Botanical Gardens in the city with Vix's friend Coll.................................................................... Beautiful gardens- mad to know that they are smack bang in the middle of the city! Had lunch there too........... Caught the sun- took me by suprise! Then went to the Queen Victoria Night market which was cool- so depressing as lots of nice things to buy but daren't even look!! Plus most of the things were on sale in Thailand for a 10th of the price!!!!! There i had my dinner- Kangaroo Burger! Emu sausage and croc tail!!! All was quite nice but my stomach felt a bit dodge afterwards at the thought of actually eating it! Dad you would have enjoyed!! Go back ... read more

Denne her weekend har stået i ekstremsportens navn. Sammen med Julie, to englændere Rob og Alex, og Julies to flatmates Ed (NZ) og Steve (US) tog jeg på forlænget weekend til Queenstown, som ... read more

hey there folks, two blogs in one day wonders will never cease! So today is the day of celebration as the marc and claire team have finally been reunited! and frank of course. just to fill in the gaps....spent another day in kaikoura ended up staying in new hostel, called the dusky dolphin and it was the best hostel i've stayed in here - we had a hot pool sauna and heated swimming pool, all surrounded by very impressive mountains capped with snow. It's a hard life being a backpacker eh! Managed to spot some dolphins in the morning despite having failed to get on to a dolphin watching trip then spent all afternoon drinking beer in the hot tub celerating tomers birthday with whoever came to join us before cooking up a treat on the bbq....new ... read more

Sorry I haven’t written in ages! I have been consumed with…well, reading, sleeping, and hanging out with mom! Today it is raining raining raining. It is nice not to be frantic on vacation. Mostly when people are on vacation they zoom around madly trying to make the most, as it were, of each little moment by cramming it as full as possible with distracting, entertaining, or culturally-enriching events. There is something about being on a boat that just forces you to slow down a bit. Before I left most people were so impressed I was going to New Zealand and asked about all the stuff I was going to do. My general response was that, yes I was excited, but mostly I was going to see mom. That said, most of what I’ve been doing isn’t ... read more

01.03.06 After a good nights sleep we awoke, still unsure of our next move, whether it's to go to another farm or to start our trip oop north. So to keep our options open we emailed a farm that we fancied, so this morning we went on the internet and did a bit of food shopping while waiting for a reply. The lady never got back, so we made the decision of heading north, so it was another trip to the train station to get a train a couple of hours away to a coastal town called Noosa, that we had been told was really pretty. After an 1 1/2 hour wait at the trainstation, followed by a couple of trains and a bus we finally arrived in Noosa with the intention of going to our ... read more

Flere EG mennesker dukkede op her, men det var ... read more
