kylläpäs on ikävä päivä, kun mä en enää sit pääse leikkuriin. Minnalla ois vielä viikko tiedossa, mut mä joudun päikille ja sit ihan muualle sairaalaan.. todella tylsää! Noh tänään ei ollu mikään hirvee äksöni päivä. Menin kattoon rintaimplantin vaihtoa ja sit siinä samalla sille naiselle laitettiin jotain ainetta poskiinki. Jessica (mua vuoden vanhempi sairaanhoitaja) anto mun letkuttaa seuraavan potilaan litkuja, mut siinä tais olla kaikki mitä mä leikkaussalissa sain tehd.

Our first night was spent at the coffee palace in St Kilda, It wasn’t the best of places but we got a good nights sleep and saw a bit of St Kilda. We set off bright and early after Tom’s case broke and found hotel bakpak where we stayed for the remainder of our stay in Melbourne. Had a really good night out in Melbourne with our new friends: Mitchell, Scott, Queeni (Michelle) Duncan and Denice who wasn’t pictured. We discovered a new way of drying our washing in our bunk beds after shrinking all of our clothes in our first attempt. After the opening ceremony (which was amazing but we couldn’t photograph due to a dodgy camera), we enjoyed most of the games at Federation Square under the big screen. However we managed to drag ... read more

ok bit out of order this but keep promising to mention the walk that blew me away- mentally and nearly physically too! This was a 5am alarm call- ( see I keep saying its not all cushy!) -followed by an hours shuttle to the walk. The coach was quiet as everybody tried to get their bearings and wake up- apart from 2 chatterboxes at the front ( myself and a Canadian called Trish) . Trish foolishly adopted me as her walking partner when she got on the bus- foolishly as I have come to the conclusion I am a real scaredy cat and this walk proved this further...... The huts at the beginning of the walk were surrounded by a maneating swarm of bluebottles. Actually- it was pretty nasty - they had evidently been breeding and ... read more

Oceania » Australia » Western Australia » Perth March 23rd 2006

Hey you all, Finally some news from down under. First impression of Perth, nice and very clean! I stayed in the city 4 days, enjoyed a Hoegaarden in the Belgian Beer Café, walked around the city, chilled in the nice park and then I started a trip up to Exmouth, north off Perth. This was an organized trip. The cost would be almost similar and for some areas you just need good 4*4 transportation. We took off with a group off +/- 20 people. The first 5 days visited the Pinnacles (see picture), sand boarding on dunes, nice walks to the bottom of the Canyon (and up of coarse..) in Kalbary National park. Great views, nice walks and hot: 38C! All good, but then in there are the flies in W Australia. I started to feel ... read more

Hi guys!! Et oui, ca commencait a faire long! On etait 8, c etait plutot bidon.

C'est parfois limite too much, comme on dit!!

Oceania » Australia » Queensland » Cairns March 22nd 2006

Our trip to cairns has been a great first taste of life in Australia. The scenery is stunning, the wildlife is amazing and the weather is extreme to say the least- varying from the recent Cyclone Larry to sunshine. The people are all friendly and laid back, even the local bus drivers are nice and helpful! Cairns is a real tourism hub that offers loads to see and do. We have Scuba dived on the barrier reef ( still not seen a shark!) , visited the cairns tropical zoo and enjoyed chilling at the free esplanade pool. As we are staying with relatives North of Cairns we have taken the opportunity to visit the northern beaches and the beautiful Port Douglas. Another fantastic day trip was spent touring round the tablelands west of Cairns that contains ... read more

Sitting here in dingy Greymouth. It reminds me a bit of Tipton- hmm has some waterways but thats about all. Not much going on. However its a stop off for the transalpine train and thats what Ive been doing today. Last couple of days have been pretty active. Im turning into a couch poatato and trying to reverse the trend as I slowly become more rotund! I fell in love with beautiful picture postcard Kaikoura- even started snooping around to see if they have any possible work there for me!- but Im just fantasising- reckon it would be too quiet there. kaikoura has some amazing sealife, basically because a deep water channel comes very close inland and the water is rich in nutrients, hence the sea mammals follow. On the day we left a pod of ... read more

hey everybody, check out the 2 cyclones hitting Australia!!! Don't worry (mum) the first is way up north and the other shouldn't be hitting land. Although it has been raining all day..hmmm.... anyway, I ordered the special auzzie fish barramundi today, as the older sister says I have to try, but they said they had sold out. That was about the main point of the day! Coz of the rain. Well check out the new pics right from the start, I hope they have worked. I still have a bad leg too x... read more

Oceania » Australia » Victoria March 22nd 2006

Drove south from Adelaide along through the Coorong, a vast area of coastal dunes and estuaries. Came to southern ports, Kingston, Robe and Beachport. Then south to Mt Gambier, second largest city in South Australia, must not be a lot of competition. Country getting greener, higher rainfall area. Vast tracts of plantation timber. Went through Nelson at the start of the limestone coast. Next Portland, of smelter fame. Nice town. Finally I'm in Port Fairy, a pleasant spot with some sailboats. Have spruiked here and there along the way. Someone said there's a big folk festival in Canberra on Easter Weekend. Sounds promising. Today heading east toward Great Coast Road.... read more
