I don't want to go home.....I don't want to go home.....I don't want to go home..... Nope doesn't seem to work. well nothing to do but unpack and save up for the next trip!!!!!!! the trip to India was wonderful but oh so short for such a rich and ancient country. My tablas have arrived and I am sad to say that they are a little worse for the trip. the little tabla is totally out of tune and the big one has a ding in it. I found my beautiful box which I padlocked and then cocooned in calico with lovely red seals was completely busted opened by customs (I think) and then roughly repacked. so there goes my 8,800 rupees of shipping! which is more than I spent in total in varanasi for accomodation ... read more

Hey everyone We're currently in Airlie which is a coastal town and the gateway for trips around the Whitsunday islands. Tomorrow we're off on a three day trip sailing around the islands and shoudl be really good. Since Noosa we travelled up to a place called Hervey bay (or Scurvey bay) as some call it due to it not being a very good place. It was however the gateway to trips around Fraser island and we enjoyed a 2 day guided trip. Was amazing, Fraser Island is basically the largest sand island in Australia with a length of 123 kilometres. It also has fresh water lakes on it which we swam in and loads of wildlife. We saw Sharks, dolphins, swimming turtles and bats. We had a ex tank driver as our bus driver and we ... read more

Hi All, again! I now it's nothing short of a miracle that I've managed to blog so much in the last few days but its the working life that ties me down and now I'm not working I have all the time in the world, well kind of anyway! Ok, so firstly I would like to apologise to everyone about not sending emails letting people know personally what I'm doing, but once again the Orange email is down (yes I will be complaining) and so I thought this would be the second best way to let everyone know what I'm doing!! As I'm sure some of you will be aware, the girls (Lauren and Lydia) have run or are running out of money and so they have decided to go home early to avoid getting further ... read more

Well my trip from Alice Springs to Darwin was not too good. If it wasn't for the great friends that I made then I would be completely moaning about it. Our tour guide was horrible, such a moody guy reluctant to answer any questions and just wasn't informative in the slightest! Plus he never gave us any feedback forms at the end which is a bit dodgy to me... Oh well...anyway...I've spent my time here in hot hot Darwin mainly with two girls, Chris and Mel. During the day we would do our own thing and explore the city, then meet up in the evening for our bargain $1 meal and go out for the night. Seriously, this $1 meal may sound rather erm...interesting...but it is actually really nice, especially the lasagne which is something I ... read more

Oltiin sit siinä eläintarhan lahja... read more

Hello All... Sorry we haven't written lately, we have been living it up. This may end a long one, or I will try to keep it some what short 1st off, Happy Birthday E !!! Can't figure why you wouldn’t answer at 3am your time. April 15th we took the train to Adelaide. Special thanks to Lizzy for, while extremely pregnant, drove in from Avalon to wish us a good trip, but also give us a ride to the Train Station. As our luggage was a little over weight, imagine that… we had to buy a candy stripe bag, in which we filled it we Heathers shoes, medicine kit, toiletries and her make-up. The trip on the Indian Pacific was really great, although it was difficult to take pictures from the train. It was a 24 ... read more

Hi lovelies! well, after three days on another tour bus, we've made it safe an sound to Adelaide. Our time in Melbourne was great! We spent nearly a week with Benji's second cousins the Kohns. We had such a blast hanging out with our Australian family. Maurie and Fay have four children: Naomi, Simon, Josh, and Benji (married to Ella). They are all amazing people who we were so glad to be able to get to know during our short stay with them. Definate highlights of our stay were the Australian footy game on AnZAC day, and overall fun times with the family :-) Needless to say, we were also fed amazingly well. We also managed to see Rabbi Guevertz (from Temple Bat yahm) and, yes Edie and Papa, we contacted your friends in Melbourne though ... read more

Cairns is all about diving, almost all the trips to the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) run from there, it’s a town built around and for tourism, but unlike Byron Bay its managed to maintain a very pleasant friendly atmosphere. I was only there one night before I started a three day live aboard scuba diving cruise around the reef with Prodive. The entire trip from start to finish was seamlessly organised, which it had to be to allow us to fit in all the eleven allocated dives. It was a very intense schedule, each day we had three dives which were twice followed by night dives. But all the exertion was well worth it, some of the best bits were the Green Turtles feeding, White Tip Reef Sharks, massive Potato Cod, schools of Bumphead Parrotfish and ... read more

Cant believe it has been 4 years since I was last here! Things never change and I still remember a lot of it. I always said I would be back and here I am! Anyway, this is only a quick update to let you know where we are and what we've been up to. We arrived in Brisbane last Saturday and thats where we've stayed the past week. Its a bigger and much different city from Perth but its ok. To be honest I dont really like city life so we're looking forward to getting to the coast again. We've spend most of the week looking around the city and sorting everything out for the rest of our trip now we have decided to come home in August. We've booked a 25 day tour around the ... read more

Yesterday was lovely, blue skies and sunshine galore. we had a more successful attempt at making dinner - actually got to eat something - had fajitas! mmmmm. Didnt really get up to much yesterday - lazing on the beach and soaking up some rays and paddled in the blue sea. Oooo had an amazingly massive milkshake yesterday - was like a meal - might have to have another one for lunch. heading off to byron bay tomorrow - think we have managed to book somewhere but they dont provide all your bed linen, so you have to pay extra for it - its ony a dollar but still - the cheek of it! Looking forward to using free bikes there - we will be able to explore a wider area - and they give you boogie ... read more
