Hi travel followers. We just realised it has been yet again more than two weeks since our last update and wonder where the days go. Since our last blog we have moved on from Sunbury/Melbourne and spent a night or two in Berrigan and Gundagai having a great time catching up with old friends and then spent over a week at Mark and Mel's place in Blair Athol (near Campbelltown) catching up with them and soaking up some special Nanny and Poppy time with our two lovely little Granddaughters Tahlee (4 years) and Kiara (2 years). What a delight they are and growing up way too quick. In between "play time" with the two girls I managed to get in a few maintenance jobs around the house like Cleaning out and resealing the floor tile grout, ... read more

We came back to the Central Coast for our cruise, and Peter's probable sinus operation, and then we'll be heading off to different scenery and different jobs - don't know where or what yet. We'll be back from the cruise on 1st August and would love to do some catching up with friends and family. Give us a call to get the party started. In the meantime, check out the photos from our visit to the Bell Show and Jimbour historic house. Lots of news to tell, and yes we have been very slack getting the blogs out. We promise that we will get the blogs up-to-date a.s.a.p after the cruise.... read more

Blog 26 - A picture of health In our haste to get a new blog out before the Christmas holidays, we pressed the “publish” button instead of the “preview” button. We have now included some more news and pictures to get everyone up-to-date. Thank you to those of you who commented on the previous broadcast. Wow, it’s been exactly 6months since the previous blog, but as you can appreciate, there have been other things on our mind and we haven’t done much travelling anyway. We have visited Singleton a few times to do the monthly market there, been to a couple of weddings in the southern highlands and the Hunter Valley, and spent a couple of lazy days by Lake Liddell with Wendy’s sister and her husband. We also had a week at Shoal Bay so ... read more

As one would expect, the wear is improving the further north we travel. Less layers of clothes needed now. We spent two nights in Bermagui in Zane Gray Tourist Park overlooking Horse-shoe Bay. Very quiet, with only another three groups staying there. The park was named after a famous American author who was very keen on big game fishing and was instrumental in putting Bermagui on the map. Yesterday we drove up to Central Tilba to visit the cheese factories and have lunch. The cheese was great, and it was very difficult to decide on what to buy, so I bought five types. Lunch was a different matter. We had planned to have a ploughmans lunch, so headed off to the cheese shop/cafe. The girl who served me appeared surprised when I asked for a menu. ... read more

Blog 19 - …. And back to the Central Coast again! We had been gearing up for a busy time over Easter at Top of The Town Tourist Park. When we received news that Peter’s mum was slipping away fast, we decided to pack up and head back “home”. We finished our shifts at the park on Sunday 3rd April, had a farewell drink with friends, and left the park on Monday morning, planning to stop off at Tamworth for a cup of tea with friends, before continuing further south. However, our fate was to prove otherwise. Some of you have had a detailed encounter of the events of the following 2 days, some of you have been spared all the gory details, and some of you have absolutely NO idea of what is about to ... read more

It must have been June! We must have been on the Central Coast! The property we were staying at was as saturated as it was when we stayed there in June 2009. Wendy measured 75ml in the rain guage after one downpour. We were house-sitting while our friends travelled in China, Mongolia and Russia for 6 weeks. June 2010 was a big month for special birthdays in Wendy's family so suitable celebrations were planned and executed. Wendy also got to enjoy a decadent weekend with girlfriends in the Hunter Valley. Peter's Mum now has a permanent placement in a retrirement hostel and seems to be settling in quite well. After a lot of cleaning, sorting and clearing of "stuff", her house now has new owners. We got to spend some special times with our granddaughters, Matilda ... read more
