It must have been June!
We must have been on the Central Coast!
The property we were staying at was as saturated as it was when we stayed there in June 2009. Wendy measured 75ml in the rain guage after one downpour. We were house-sitting while our friends travelled in China, Mongolia and Russia for 6 weeks.
June 2010 was a big month for special birthdays in Wendy's family so suitable celebrations were planned and executed. Wendy also got to enjoy a decadent weekend with girlfriends in the Hunter Valley. Peter's Mum now has a permanent placement in a retrirement hostel and seems to be settling in quite well. After a lot of cleaning, sorting and clearing of "stuff", her house now has new owners.
We got to spend some special times with our granddaughters, Matilda and Gabrielle (and their parents Tim and Georgina) and we did quite a bit of socializing with friends and other family members. Our youngest daughter Shannon returned home after 13 months in Ireland, so it was lovely to spend time with her again too. She's now living in Perth and wants us to make our way over there before she heads off-shore again.
We had

our annual medical checkups and had repairs done to the motorhome. Having a leaky roof is NOT a good idea in all these rain events.
We welcomed our friends back into their house, and back to the real world. Thanks James and Judy for trusting us with your house. We couldn't believe how quickly we spread ourselves and our belongings to fill up a 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom house.
So as you can gather, we kept ourselves quite busy. We left the "Coast" on Sunday 12th July to make our way down the South Coast to be with our youngest granddaughter, Maya, for her 1st birthday. We will be staying there for a month or two, to house/dog-sit for Mel and Gareth while they go overseas for a month and then help them prepare to move to the north coast.
It's hard to believe that we've been travelling for more than 12 months already. Some of our friends and family are beginnining to wonder if we'll ever get out of New South Wales! We certainly hope to - it's just that we can't decide "Where to next?" That question will be getting a lot of attention while we wait for the travellers to return home from overseas.

Hugs to the chooks
Bonjour grandmama et grandpapa! We are having a lovely if exhausting time in Switzerland. Today the cheese consumption is a little out of control. Please be polite when we roll back home to see you. Thanks for everything...love, us x x

Great to hear from you
Good to hear that you are having a varied time with different experiences. I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't heard from you for a while. All is well here. My daughter is coming back to live in melbourn for five months and then she is off again very much like your daughter, Shannon. I'm glad that she liked Ireland. It is very beautiful but then I'm biased. Tasmania is very like Ireland, avery beautiful place with a relaxed life style. You'll have to come and visit. So far I've had a sister and a brother visit. Did all the touristy things and had a great time. Love to you both. Marguerite

Great to hear you´ve been able to catch up with your grandchildren. I´ve been missing ours heaps since we arrivwed here in Cuenca, Ecuador which is a World Heritage city full of beautiful old buildings. Maybe when you´ve seen all you want in Australia you might want to go overseas. We might still be here! Please say Hi to Judy, hope they had a great time. Best wishes, Wendy & Philippe
