The Ulladulla area is a seven-kilometre stretch of continuous urban residential development from the southern edge of Ulladulla, through the town of Mollymook, to Narrawallee in the north. We stayed in the Holiday Haven Ulladulla Caravan Park, which is perched on a headland overlooking Ulladulla harbour. Our first port of call was to visit the harbour and swim in the ocean pool. We then drove to Warden Head lighthouse to take in the panoramic views up and down the coast. Mollymook beach was our favourite place for an ocean swim. There were also rock pools to snorkel in around the headland heading towards Collers Beach. The ocean temperature was still surprisingly warm. We spent many hours walking around the many rock shelfs in the Ulladulla area looking for fossils. The Ulladulla rock shelves are famous for ... read more

Awoke to the sounds of the waves and the birds on the lake, very relaxing. As we were not driving anywhere, we took the morning easy, starting with scrambled eggs and bacon, the only way to start the day! Ben was off on the Kayak and then off to the surf beach, I think he is in training for a Triathlon! He is also studing a lot, but I think that is just so he doesn't have to listen to our boring talk about the weather and where to next!! Hayden, Pete and I head off on our bikes, and yes I get to use my bike that I have had for over 12 months for the first time! And I still remember how to ride. We rode around the lake on the boardwalk and ended ... read more

Geo: -35.3571, 150.474What a night? 41.6mm of rain with 63km wind gusts, constant, neither of us able to sleep we had tied the awning down and on one side it was tied to a heavy wooden table, it had moved during the night. Both of us up at 4.30am, the van is rocking and banging around it is like being in a washing machine. In daylight it will be interesting to see what damage is done. 5.30am the wind stopped rocking the van so we managed to get back to sleep for a couple of hours. 7.30am the park has branches all over the place but no serious damage, we have resident plover birds with chicks and they are camped next to the Ladies. During the night holding an umbrella and trying to dodge them to ... read more

Geo: -35.3571, 150.474Arrived in Ulladulla after 2 1/2 hours travelling, with me driving and the ute still has its gearbox attached. Mick handled me driving a lot better today, I think he didn't have to remind me as much to change gears!!Mick has finally been able to use his Seniors card, which gave us an $8 discount on our stay at the Caravan Park. WoooooSet up at the Ulladulla Headlands Caravan Park, in drizzley rain and on a hill, cannot level the Caravan, after trying a few ways, Mick cold and wet, gave in. Just hope the fridge keeps his beer cold and my Lemonade!Set off to get some lunch and then drove to Mollymook Golf Club, we played golf here about 20 years ago. Stunning views from the lounge windows. Neither of us can remember ... read more

Ok, so after Wallaga Lakes we headed north towards Ulludulla. Our first stop was a little town called Narooma, well not little, a poo load bigger than Wallaga Lakes! Once again, we were kicking ourselves for not moving on that little bit and staying at somewhere a bit better but ahh well, thems the breaks! We found a market where we bought 4 red capsicums for $3, Brady was stoked! We bought other stuff but seeing as it was so long ago haha I can't remember! So after having a stroll around the market we headed to Batemens Bay. It was a nice little town I guess, with a bit of a shopping centre. It was nice, but not really exciting so after having lunch we decided to move on. We headed straight up to Ulludulla, ... read more

We headed north with no real idea of where we were going to stay, but Thomas had developed a toothache so we decided to try and find a dentist in Ulladulla. The staff at the local Library, which also staff the Visitor Centre, were very helpful in giving us directions. In the end, we decided to stay in Ulladulla for a couple of nights and do the walk up to Pigeon House Mountain the next day. We stayed at Mollymook Caravan Park so the trip from Murramarang National Park to here ended up being our shortest drive for the trip to date. Thomas' toothache was resolved with his first filling (in one of his baby teeth), so the next day we headed up to Pigeon House Mountain (719m above sea level). The mountain was named by ... read more
