We have been busy for the last couple of days doing a great deal of sight seeing...we saw the Opera House, went up in the Sydney Tower (and walked around outside), Aquarium, Wildlife World, Blue Mountain Tour, Whale Watching, Dolphin Watching, 4X4 on the sand dunes, and sand boarding on the Sand dunes. Whew. Flight leaves at 2:45PM Friday afternoon....it's going to be a long day. Oh, today I had Kangaroo for dinner :) It was good, much like beef, but very lean. I do have more photos from today at the Dolphin watching and sand boarding, but I will probably wait to post those until we are home. Bye for now. It took us a few days to finally get out and see some of Sydney, but first let me tell you about arriving here and getting aquatinted with Sydney nightlife! When we arrived we took a shuttle bus which dropped us off at our hostel where we met up with Michelle and Dan(!!), Michelle’s friends from home. They had booked us into a hostel in Kings Cross, Sydney. Luckily we had a 4 bed dorm to ourselves and it wasn’t long before clothes were thrown all over the place. Mainly mine and Michelle’s. After chatting for awhile we went to their friends house while they were playing cards and then on to a night club. On Sunday we hit a few more Irish bars where we could get Taytos! Went to see Taronga Zoo today. Pretty much a 'typical' zoo although it was neat to see koalas and kangaroos here. There was even a place where you could walk amongst the kangaroos and they would hop right up to you. I got some good pictures of that. I will post them tomorrow. The ferry ride took us right under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and right along side of the famous Sydney Opera House. Starting to adjust to the time a bit better already. We didn't wake up until nearly 6AM today. Training is going well. Today they have a 4 hour session. The parents are going to go down to "The Rocks" which is a historical district in Sydney, the original settlement location for the city.... read more

G'day Mate Time is moving fast and were in Oustraylya already! Unfortunately we'll have to say goodbye to an overly detailed report of our every movements for a more brief overview!. The price of the "blardy" internet is a bit more over here! We've had "heaps" of rain but still managed to enjoy our time here so far. Sydney was pretty nice and we managed to share a hostel room with our friends who we travelled with for a month in SE Asia. We had 3 days there in which the first was spent walking around the centre and visiting a museum of Contempory art that displayed very wacky images and thought provoking rooms filled with mirrors and spotted cushions?!
