Today we went to Bondi beach. We met up with a load of the other people from the hostel which was cool. The beach was a bit smaller than I expected but it is really beautiful. The sea had a 'dangerous current' warning sign so when I went in I didn't go out of my depth. Some of the waves were pretty high and very strong. In fact so strong one wave managed to pull my bikini bottoms down- oh the shame! Recovered well though I think! We had a football and were playing piggy in the middle against the guys which was funny too. The sunbathing was very relaxing and I decided to do my first session of going topless!! (Don't worry- no pics will be included!!) The sun was very hot but we stuck ... read more

Well it certainly has been hectic since I got here. I checked into a central hostel that I stayed in last time (again never felt like I had left!) and spent my first day chilling out in the park near to the opera house. Honestly I don't know how many people can go running on a Tuesday afternoon, needless to say it didnt inspire me after a 15 hours flight with no sleep, so I was content with lying in the sun! Weather is nice, warm and sunny during the day but can get quite chilly at night, but we are going into summer here so its only going to get better. Can't say I am that upset about missing winter this year! Although a hot Christmas??? Spent the next few days looking for a job ... read more

The best thing about Sydny is the amount of women over here. We can honestly say that we haven't seen one minger over the last 3 days.Since we've been here we have seen the Sydney opera house and bridge, The 'rocks ' harbour, Sydney aquarium and the city center. We are staying at Bondi beach which is only a 20 minute bus ride to the center. We have all decided to explore Australia on a different route so it will be our last day together until we meet up for our next flight. Matt is going up the east coast to Cairns, Ryan is travelling to Ayers rock and im heading south to Melbourne and Tasmania. We're going to have a few drinks for our last night in central Sydney. Nice hearin from u Dale- finally..... ... read more

Well i dont even know where to begin because i forgot where i left off so sorry if i repeat myself. After the long 2 weeks at the shared house we checked into the resort. The resort was called Paradise island resort, it was on a little island. we spent lots of time in the pool because it was actually heated ( all of the hostels that we stayed at so far has ice cold water in their pools). we also took some day trips one was to a water park. It had a huge wave pool and lots of slides and stuff. my favorite slide was one that you layed on your tummy on a mat, it was a race between about 8 slides and they had a machine that told you who won... i ... read more

The circle is now complete! 2 months ago I set off to explore Australia from Sydney, and at 5.45am on Wednesday I arrived back in Sydney, god knows how many miles I've covered, but it's a long way when you're not flying. First of all you may notice that I have started putting PICTURES up on the blog, I realise they are generally of poor quality but I am using a very cheap digital camera and I don't have the pateince to take a good photo anyway, still give you an idea of what it all looks like and proves that I have not just been sitting at home making out that I've been travelling the world. (unless I've been very clever with photoshop) Have been 'pottering' around Sydney, really just building fresh energy up for ... read more

internet is rare in this land so will be brief As usual, the hungarian has pushed his luck to the limit...partying all night thursday in st tropez got to the train station 20 minutes before he thought it left, but when he was starting to relax the controller whistles for it to leave!!! running like a mad man he manages to jump on the tracks therefore insuring his departure... after an epic flight, with stops in such shaggy places as dubai and bangkok, we managed to arrive safely at world famous Bondi beach. Clement needing to feed his hunger for new vibes brought us to the 505. I had a trip to Brisbane for a couple of days so I decided I would book a ticket and fly down to Sydney on the Saturday morning to spend the day with my family. My parents came and met me at the airport and took me home. We spent the morning sitting around catching up. I got to spend some time with my little six month old niece Madison who is soooo cute! We then went to a nice restaurant for lunch where my brother Justin came and met up with us. After lunch my parents, my sister Natalie, Madison and I went down to Rose Bay to have coffee. It was a beautiful day even though its supposed to be the middle of winter. We went for a walk along the bay then went ... read more

Hi All, Just a quick update as there hasn't been one for a while. We're enjoying our time here in Bondi and have booked in to the same hostel for a further two weeks as we have a nice view of the beach and a big room (shame no football on the tv still) but can't have everything. We went out last night and had a few sherberts to see Orbital from the UK play a DJ set at the Chinese Laundry / Slip Inn in Sydney city. We left at 4am when it finished a little worse for wear. It's now our intention after Caroline went out to get supplies to do as little as possible today other than a walk along the beach to cure our hangovers and watch the surf dudes get thrown ... read more
