Happy Easter to all of you! A perfect day for celebration. Just having the number of people in our group makes for a party whenever we are together. Plus, the old bunny did well by us all.....that crazy, little critter. We gathered over at the timeshare condos for our Easter Dinner. What a delicious dinner it was.....we agreed that it almost beat out the Golden Corral. It was nice to share a home cooked meal for a change even though Lory said part of her vacation goal was not to cook. We all did our share so many hands made light work. The men had an extra special day also. They spent most of it on the Marriott golf course. Cory is in his glory being able to play his favorite game with his favorite son-in-laws. ... read more

Today's adventure took us up to Old Town & Fun Spot. Tropical Palms, where we are living, is located just a short walking distance behind these festive and entertaining amusement spots. The boys wasted no time getting to the most horrible, frightening, terrifying ride of all times. It is called Sky Rider or something like that. It is a bungee jump sling from two poles about 3,000 miles up into the sky. The sling gets pulled way up into the air and after a long ride up, it connects to the two sky-high poles. The release rope is pulled and WHAM....you are dropped straight down and then remain swinging back and forth the entire lenght of the park until it all finally comes to a stop.....Puke! Yippeeee....These past two days have been "Happy Days" for celebration. Today, our family from Scio, N.Y. arrived. We met Lory, Jay, Alan, Ryan & Sara at the Sanford Airport. Absolutely terrific to see and be with them again. Last time we were together was on Lory's birthday: December 28th. Lory has been watching over our house in our absence as well as taking care of our mail, etc. She's such a wonderful daughter. They left mounds of snow behind to arrive to see bright, blue skies in Florida. Today was chilly for the Sunshine State - in the 60's but it will warm up as the week continues. It better....they have had enough cold weather this year. They checked into our timeshare, Cypress Harbour, near Sea World. Just like coming home...first priority was to go out ... read more

As a special treat, I thought I would take you on a tour of where we have been living since January 8th. Plus, we haven't gone anywhere for a couple days so I had to come up with something before you thought I broke my fingers, lost my mind, gave away my IPad, ran away from home, fell off a cliff, took a job at Disney, developed amnesia, poked my eyes out or anything else that could happen. Sometimes, I do tend to ramble a little off course, don't I? Moving on -- Your tour will show you all around Tropical Palms Resort & Campground located in Kissimmee, Florida. A varied and interesting combo of activities this weekend. Friday night, Tropical Palms sponsored their farewell party for the "long-termer's" (guests who are here more than 3 months). Last year they held the party so late, most everyone had left so their timing was better this year....we are all still here. "Hail, Hail....." The theme for the party was "Venice, Italy" with the meal: lasagna. Entertainment was a male singer (not Perry Como; he's dead)....he sang songs from the '50's & Country...he was very good! This morning, they provided all of us with a farewell breakfast...not The Last Supper... it was The Last Breaskfast. That's all folks....now it's either bid farewell when your departure date arrives or continue to attend the entertainment provided but it's no longer gratis. No more freebie action.
