Wow the trip is almost over! Just another like 12 hours to kill. I can say it's been a huge eye-opener on several levels. Oh and look that show with all the hot babes has been renewed "Nikita" wooot, download time! ahem.... So today we wrap things up with a trip to the Grumann theatre, the Griffith Observatory and then The Grove. We visited The Getty Centre yesterday which was utterly amazing. Saw some Rubens painting and was totally blown away but my body is really dying for a day off so I had to cut the trip short. The Getty Centre is just incredible and well worth the $3 to get there :) Went for a walk last night past all the Hollywood hot spots like the Cheateu Marmont and ended up at a Ice ... read more

We finished up at the Sheraton. We paid $100 to get here to West Hollywood. Past East L.A. which is Gang land territory which was hardcore to see in the flesh. Anyway seeing the Hollywood sign was cool but once we got to our hotel we started to see that Best Western takes a dump on Sheraton. First of all we get Wi-fi in our room...anyway I won't go on as I'll just be pissed off. Anyway where we are is great, it's a long walk but a welcome walk to get rid of some of this fatty high cal food. We went into "In and Out" which is a burger chain that has like 3 things on the menu but dam it's pretty good. Very cheap and it's just like that: In and Out. $10 ... read more

David here... We arrived mid afternoon in L.A after a long 11 hour flight, without the benefit of watching many films as they started them all before they turned the screens on and Air Pacific only show the same films on a loop, though I did manage to see the bulk of Tangled. To make up for not being able to really watch films we drank a copious amount of white wine, making sure that we asked the gentleman serving as his measures were bigger. We jumped into a Super Shuttle (Blue Vans at LAX) who took us directly to our hostel in West Hollywood for only $16 each. We had decided to stay at the Banana Bungalow on Fairfax as: a) it was cheap, and b) it was only a 40 minute walk from the ... read more

Heute Regen.

so, we went for a loooong walk to hollywood and sunset blvd yesterday, saw all the stars on the 'sidewalk' and all the famous hand and footprints at the chinese theatre. We got offered a crazy amount of 'see the stars' tours and ended up having a gross burger for lunch in a pub called snow white... all snow white pics etc EVERYWHERE! after the long walk back we both had such sore feet, but hey I guess it was worth it :) Dario has to be boring at the moment because he still has uni work to finish by March but hopefully he'll be finished in the next week and will stop being boring :p anyway this is just a quick update with the very few pics we have taken. Oh and we had waffles ... read more

Ok, so we made it to the first port of call. Plane left an hour late from Sydney but thats hardly much wait compared to previous trips. Within an hour of takeoff we had a medical emergency on the plane and the pilot was asking for a dr of medicine to come forward, and the girl involved sat a row in front but in the middle section (we were in a window section of the 747), so we got to see all the comings and goings, poor thing was very ill. On top of this though we had 2 toddlers in our section who had decided that when everyone else was trying to sleep they would not and instead would insist on playing with their parents or cry because no one was giving them attention!!!! Our day started 36 hours ago and still has 3 hours to go.... If this doesn't make much sense then you and I are on the same wavelength. 4am on Wednesday the 15th i woke up and systematically finalised all those bits before you actually walk out the door.... passport - check hangover - check passport - check turn electricity off - check laptop - check passport - check ....you know how it goes. And of course starting the day at 4am, nothing seems real anyways. At the airport we thought that it was going to be a breeze, being in business class and all. We forgot one thing though.. we're in Melbourne!!!! Melbourne airport is horrible. Even worse, there were heaps of families with young kids checking in and each one took around 20 mins. ... read more

The rest of Tuesday and beyond: We lazed by the pool for hours and didn’t do a great deal for the rest of the day. Then after dark we headed to the Venetian Casino complex. We had a bite to eat, I found some Coach sunglasses in the amazing lobby area and we had a flutter. We wandered along the strip stopping at casinos here and there and eventually made our way back to the Paris one, which is just near our hotel. On Wednesday, Matt made me get up early again! It’s meant to be a holiday! Anyway after breakfast we headed to the Las Vegas Speedway or race track and Matt had a great time driving an Aston Martin and a Lamborghini around the race track. He got to meet some fellow iRacing ... read more

Los Angeles was also a great time. We left Indio on Monday morning and went straight to Newport Beach where we ate delicious chronic tacos on the beautiful beach. It was such a nice change of weather-- breezy and cool not scorching hot. After napping and chilling on the beach for a while we made our way to Northridge for my favorite dinner with the family. Spaghetti Carbonara. YUMMY. (No pictures necessary, Uncle Beppe's recipe is special hah) On Tuesday morning we woke up late and headed into Hollywood, where we ate lunch at Pink's hotdogs. Notice in the pictures how BIG Evan's hotdog is OMG (haha thats what she said). Anyways after that we met up with Eric and my friend Ryan (who I am going to South Africa with so MANY pictures of him ... read more
