You wouldn’t think that if you are cruising over water for two days, that you would be busy. But I have been more busy than I could have imagined! It has been a good busy today. We all slept in today, and then went to grab breakfast. After a very quick breakfast, we headed over to the next talk in our conference. It was specifically about God’s sovereignty in election. This has actually been one of the greatest things for me to be learning right now. It’s so easy to slip into the mentality that things get past God, or was God even paying attention to….? This morning in our lesson, I learned that God in His eternal decrees, ORDAINS everything that happens. I learned that the only way that we can work through grief and ... read more

This was a pretty fantastic week and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Monday night after dinner, I went for a hike with a couple of my coworkers. We hiked up the Fuller Lakes Trail. It was a beautiful hike as they all are. We reached the first lake where we were able to watch a beaver swim around for a while and then we continued on to hike up to the second lake. On this hike we saw a ptarmagin but we were unable to make it to the second lake due to water. The trail we were on turned into a creek and we tried going around it but it was pretty much just a big marsh so we decided to turn around and head back. On the hike back we saw a ... read more

Happy Days are here again - The skies above are clear again. What a great and glorious day. The sun is shining, it’s in the 70’s and we have no place to go and nothing to do. Woo-Hoo! We slept-in, did laundry, walked the bike trail for a couple of miles, Dave started reading a book and I caught up on emails and blogs. In the afternoon, we visited the visitor’s center and some shops and then we went to Fast Eddy’s and had coffee and dessert. Dave had the great Forest Pie with berries, apple and rhubarb with vanilla ice cream on top and I had the Chocolate Rockslide, a brownie with the ice cream and chocolate syrup all over it. Boy were we bad and boy was it good! Stopping at the local NAPA ... read more

Thanks for your text messages asking for our latest travel blog... We finished our time in Canada by driving from Jasper onto Lake Louise, the famous Lake on all the travel shows. We spent the night at the chateau with a lake view room, the lake was frozen but still beautiful. This has to be one of the most popular destinations in Western Canada and there were bus loads of tourists just turning up to see the lake. Most of the lakes we had visited were frozen which was a bit disappointing but you ... read more
