Happy Days are here again - The skies above are clear again. What a great and glorious day. The sun is shining, it’s in the 70’s and we have no place to go and nothing to do. Woo-Hoo!

We slept-in, did laundry, walked the bike trail for a couple of miles, Dave started reading a book and I caught up on emails and blogs. In the afternoon, we visited the visitor’s center and some shops and then we went to Fast Eddy’s and had coffee and dessert. Dave had the great Forest Pie with berries, apple and rhubarb with vanilla ice cream on top and I had the Chocolate Rockslide, a brownie with the ice cream and chocolate syrup all over it. Boy were we bad and boy was it good!

Stopping at the local NAPA store, we bought car cleaning supplies and really gave the van the treatment, inside and out. It is so nice to have a car that looks like new again (at least for a day).

The Seiglers with Kenny Snow entertained again tonight at the Sourdough Campground. This is a great place that also serves Reindeer Chili or Potato Bacon Soup in a Sourdough Bowl for supper and Sourdough Pancakes in the morning for breakfast. This campground should be a definite stop on any camper’s list.

Oh... Now you did it!
I was doing fine... Minding my own business, well... and a little bit of yours. And I heard mention of one of my favorite places in the world to eat a meal. Fast Eddies is one of a kind. The food there is consistantly above average, it is a clean establisment staffed by Friendly Alaskans. My daughter has driven from Anchorage for the sole purpose of breakfast at Fast Eddies. (when gas was cheaper) We stop every time, coming or going from Alaska. While driving north into Alaska, its the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel that signals we have made it home! It tastes and feels like home! So now Im at my desk in Anchorage thinking of Fast Eddies and wishing I were there. Fast Eddies in Tok Alaska has my vote for the best eatery on the Alaska Highway! A stop at Fast Eddies is always a Must. Big Bill
