Ciao! Niinpä niin, siitäkö taas puhe mistä puute?!? Näinkin asian voi tulkita, sillä ajattelin jakaa pohdintojani vaihto-opiskelusta. Jonkun tilapäisen mielenterveyden riivaamana löysin nimittäin itseni tänään luennoilta kahteen otteeseen. Ettei vain olisi paljon puhutun kulttuurishokin kavalia ensi oireita?!? Tilaisuudet itsessään olivat erittäin hyvin rakennettuja, aiheita käsiteltiin syvällisesti, opettajat olivat vakuuttavia yhtä poikkeusta lukuunottamatta, joka vain vahvistaa säännön ja luennot olivat kaikinpuolin muutenkin varsin viihtyisiä, MUTTA käsiteltävät asiat... Päivän suurimmat asiat olivat ensimmäisen asteen yhtälön ratkaiseminen Investments Managementissä ja Sales and Merchandising Managementissa puolestaan käsiteltiin, miten autokauppiaan tulisi pukeutua, jotta hän edistäisi myymistä kulloinkin mahdollisimman tehokkaasti ja ja laadittiin ... read more

Viikko alkaa loppumaan uuden tehdessä tuloaan jo täällä GMT -5 :lläkin. Tämä päivä tuntui olevan uskomattoman nopea; hurahti hetkessä ja Asafa Powell täräytti himmaillen 9.74. Kun huikkasin asiasta yhdelle kämppäkaverilleni, niin hetkessä tupa oli täynnä ihmettelemässä asiaa. Meillä tunnetusti on tämän Townhousen suurin viihdekeskus videotykin ansiosta, joten ei ole suuri yllätys minne väki kokoontuu hieman pienemmänkin kansanjuhlan edessä. Nämä hullaantuneet googlettivat intohimoisesti Asafaa, mutta juoksua he eivät onnistuneet aivan hetkessä löytämään. Sen sijaan tiesittekö kaikkea tätä tästä jamaikalaisesta 23.11.1982 syntyneestä, 88kg painavasta ja 190 cm pitkästä ihmisohjuksesta: Yhdysvaltain 14. presidentti Franklin Pierce, Markku Uusipaavalniemi sekä Saku Koivu ovat syntyneet samana päivänä, hän harjoittelee paljon nurmikolla ilman piikkareita, hän oli juniorina super lahjakas jal... read more

Hello readers! After 8 months of travelling I am finally home in Kakabeka. I was planning a final series of pictures, but got too busy packing and moving and finishing up work. I got a large selection of photos printed yesterday however and have arranged them all in albums which I am in the process of labelling. Sooo... if you want to see more of my trip you are welcome to come over for a visit and check them out. I'm now relaxing, enjoying the Canadian sunshine, and looking for a job in Ottawa for the fall. Next Friday I'll be headed to Ottawa to unpack my bags for good (at least a year). It will be nice to be settled and be able to spread out again. Kakabeka Falls & Errands Friday, 10 August 2007 By now we are in Thunder Bay. Yesterday was by default an “off” day. It was just too far to comfortably drive (over 300 km) and still allow 4-5 hours for my “work” (even if I’m riding only 3-4 hours, with my breaks it does take about an hour longer than the riding time). Without saying it was a boring drive, one can say the omnipresent forest, with only occasional rock sightings, and very few lakes to see, well, it does become repetitive. We had lunch in the town of Atikokan, where I had a very tasty (salty enough) grilled cheese sandwich. July 15, 2007. We just arrived in Thunder Bay. We left Winnipeg this morning. We’re at the Best Western Hotel again, after spending 1 ¼ nights at the Hilton in Winnipeg. They were the only ones with room for us at 4:30 am, when we arrived there! It was great there. Joey especially had always wanted to stay at a Hilton, “because they are world-renowned”, he said. The boy is a bohemian; let’s see if he can keep up with his own lifestyle aspirations when he’s an adult. So I go to wake him up in the morning, I lovingly gaze at his beautiful, innocent, peaceful face, his eyes still closed, and he mumbles sleepily: “Mom, I’m still tired.
