Hi you all Sorry about the ending of the last blog. I'm not sure what really happened.... So Yesterday I walked from 9am to 3pm. I sat down for 12 mins to eat a salad and a smoked salmon spring roll. The sun was out but unfortunatly so was the wind. I have been wearing sun block on my face but I am still getting a sun glass tan. I think that it is wind burn though. Anyhow I left the hotel and walked about and hour and a half to the Hydostone market. This area was completely rebuild post Halifax explosion with unique cement blocks known as hydrostone. The reason I went was to see the market. Well kind of false advertising as the market is a cafe, a yarn shop and 2 gift shops. ... read more

Good morning Well it is a rainy morning in Halifax. Since 99 % of my activities include long walks outside I will have to revamp my plans. Poor Brett he seems to be working harder than he thought he would be. Yesterday he went from 7:30 to 5pm. We met up at the room at 5. By this time I had already had an hour nap. HEEHEE!!! Unfortunatly we are alittle a head of the tourist season so most of the tourist spots we want to visit are closed by 5pm. We did manage to get to MEC yesterday. We both purchased new spring jackets. Now both of us will be warm enough. You can see Brett's new jacket in the picture with the town clock. Yesterday I walked and shopped. I went the the famous ... read more

Good morning. It is a beautiful Sunday morning here in Peggys Cove. I am sitting on our bed looking out the the famous lighthouse. Wow!!! Now I have actually moved out onto our deck. We are right on the ocean. I sure love the salty air smell. Well yesterday went fairly snoothly considering that it was a travel day. We caught our flight at 11am and arrived in Halifax 8pm. We only had about 45 mins in TO. Just enough time for Brett and I to spllit a pita and an ice tea. Later we would be very glad that we had this snack. I had made 2 reservations for rental cars. We went and stood in line with National because their day rate was 18 $ less. The line was not moving and the 1 ... read more

Hi All, Lovin it, Canada is fantastic!!! I'm presently at a campground in Middleton, Nova Scotia. I've been on the road 6 days so far and decided to take a day off. The great owners of the campground are letting me use their computer since the library is closed today. Only a few equipment glitches so far. I never was able to get my Coleman stove to work. I bought an MSR and although it works, I don't like it! Would love to have my Coleman. Coleman is actually going to pickup ( at my mothers place in Maine) the recalcitrant stove to find out what's wrong and they've reimbersed me for the cost of the MSR!!!! My other problem is the cyclecomputer quit working the 4th day of the trip. It'll work for a short ... read more

So we arrived into Halifax at about 6 pm last night. We found our hotel without any concerns. The only concern being we are downtown and there isn't any parking. The good thing about a rental car is that you don't really care about parking it is a no parking zone!! We are staying at the Delta Barrington. We have an awesome King size bed and have started to wonder why we don't have one of these at home... Anyhow yesterday went by super fast. We woke up early at Peggy's Cove B & B had breakfast and than walked about town. We visited with a couple from New York and a couple from Italy during breakfast. Indecently the Italian couple has seen more of Canada than we have. Peggy's cove has about 20 houses and ... read more
