Here is the route I'll be taking over the next 7 months - it's over 50,000 miles! ... read more

For those who think this is a joke, well, it ain't! I love to cook and I like to believe I'm a good cook too! The only thing I need is time, coz if I'm stressing and am running against time, then, I don't enjoy it and it will show. I love mixing herbs and flavours and ingredients. One of the things I've learnt along the way is that, for example oregano goes with everything. Basically any dish you're making, throw in a bit of oregano along with salt, pepper or other spices. That adds that little extra touch of flavour to whatever you're cooking. Well, obviously I don't suppose you all agree with me.... my boy-friend for instance hates it...so there goes my theory out the window/down the toilet. What other master tips can I ... read more

Back in London. Dreadful flight from Bucharest Baneasa to London Luton. Horrendous journey by coach to Victoria and then North London. Nice walk and a couple of beers in the park near-by to pep us up. Sunny and unexpectedly rosting weather. Missed London loads and it feels so good to be back!! ... read more

Wow its actually time to leave... I canĀ“t beleive it. 5 weeks ago the decision was finally made to go to South America for 3 months. After careful planning (NOT!!!!) the plan extends to 5 months. So its been a month of allot of work... finalising our job, finalising our house (am I sick of talking to the customer retention teams of all the organisations that you just want to phone and cancel the service they provide for your house.... the pain the pain), packing the house and moving all the boxes to our dear friends Mr and Mrs Bridges basement (all praise to Cal; for he has the might and the power of the basement ... love ya mate), finding a place to store the car (Chris - ya are a Legend!!!). Oh and the ... read more

I didn't really realize how much I've actually missed England. LONDON. I never thought I would. But strolling randomly today on the beautiful streets of Highgate, it actually hit me how much I have indeed missed so many silly things about London. I missed the charity shops where you can get dirt cheap books and in just over a week since I've been here, I have managed to fill up a whole suitcase that makes me worry and wonder if I'll get into trouble at Customs. I missed having a Starbucks every time I feel like having one, a Caramel Cream Frappuccino or a Gingerbread Latte, depending on the weather. I missed spending time on the busy aisles at Sainsbury's shopping for food or sweets or whatever. I missed the huge book shops, Borders, WHSmith, Waterstone's ... read more

After a brilliant Christmas in London I returned home for New Year's Eve. My adventures abroad finish here, at least for now. I'm happy to be home and excited to see how my country has changed and how I can bring my bit of contribution to the Romanian society. I've learnt a lot, I've grown professionally as well as personally and feel extremely proud with everything I've accomplished so far. I am looking forward to this new episode in my life and I've got a feeling it is going to be great! It actually cannot be anything but great! I wish you a fab 2009, may you be happy and may all your dreams come true! Happy New Year!... read more
