Mjam! Da die Spanier auch ... read more

¡Hola! So today was my second day of classes at La Universidad de Nebrija. I can walk to school in about 20 minutes so I am very lucky. It takes some of the people in my group 1 hour to get to school by metro! On Mondays and Wednesday, I have theater at 11:40 til 1:00. Talk about a boring class! It was okay for the first 40 minutes or so, but she just rambled on about what was theater....una experiencia....la lituratura viva.... you would think that theater would be interactive and fun, well, think again. It was kind of hard to concentrate for so long because she is speaking in Spanish (obviously, haha) and I really have to concentrate to understand what she is saying. We are going to read some plays in that class ... read more

Yo Yo - Well after Italy and France (where we left Dan B for the U2 concert) it was back to Barcelona, where we picked up 'Raul Got Game Herculai Platterpus The Wanderer.' This was a awesome feeling cause Italy and France were full on, as we were trying to see as much as we could in 2.5 weeks. I think we travelled 8000 km in our rental in those 2.5 weeks. So it was great to be back at the coast and with plently of time. We basically cruised the East coast stopping at any cool place we found. We stumbled accross a Spanish boy racer meet too - check out the phots boys. But for me, the South East of Spain was my favorite part of Spain. The coast was awesome and there wernt ... read more

Strange morning. I was a big girl and joined Mark (Mark David) and Gudrund (or however you spell it) at breakfast. The tension between me and Mark was so thick I bet trying to cut it with diamond blade knife would be rough going. He is probably the first person that I didn´t exchange information with and we gave each other the coldest goodbye. He asked if I was heading out to see the sights one last time because that´s what we had planned and I said I didn´t have enough time (excuses are better when they´re actually true). So we looked at each other one last time and said “goodbye”. No hug. No “if you´re ever in my part of the world look me up”. Nothing. It was like a “have a nice life” farewell. ... read more

¡Buenas Tardes!

the past couple of days has been quite good. i think i've seen most of barcelona now. yesterday i went to see traditional catalan (the region of spain that barcelona is in) dances. they weren't that good. actually, quite boring. i was expecting some kind of traditional costume but the dancers were all about 70 yrs old and wearing normal casual clothes. the band was really good though. they were playing traditional music and had some weird instruments that i hadn't seen before. so that was a highlight. the rest of the day was spent wandering around the city, shopping at some awesome markets that i stumbled across. i also went to the picasso museum. it had lots of his paintings, but none of the really famous ones. today, i went to park guell. it's this ... read more

Big Hugs an alle! Wow, I feel like I changed contries. Seville is so different to Valencia. After a lovely 10 hour bus trip where the strange man next to me kept leaning into me while he was asleep and two young Spanish boys constantly telling me how beautiful I was in an attempt to pick me up (maybe I should of told them how old I was, I probably could of scared them off) it was time for me to navigate a new city. I arrived bright and early on Friday morning and headed straight to the hostel. I was dead tired, I suppose that will teach me for partying all Wednesday night and then catching an over night bus which I only half slept on. Unfortunately the hostel would not let me check in until 1 o´clock so ... read more

Yesterday, I flew a four person plane!!!!! okay, I may not have taken off, or landed, but once up in the air, I had put on the headphones, grabbed the controls and headed out to Toledo, aproximately 2 hours in the car from Madrid, but 45 min on plane. Our capitan, Mr. Alejandro Basilio...aka...mi Pedro..... took us up into the blue on a beautiful Sunday morning... Laini also came as offical cinetographer and she was a bit apprehensive at first...but the Capitan reassured us that we were all very safe. Once up in the air, we travelled quite slow, about 200 kilometers or so....4,000 meters high! Alejandro did this one trick, where he actually climbs up into the air creating an arch with the plane, then quickly decends! This creates everything else in the cockpit that ... read more

Well I am sorry it has taken me a week to write but it has been hard to find the chance to sit at a computer for long enough to write all the things I want to write because there is so much! Now that I am settled I have found a really nice, little internet café just 3 ½ blocks away. My senoras name is Ana and she is so nice, a bit of an exhibitionist but so sweet. She is actually Kelsey (my friend from school who is here with me) senoras mother so I refer to her as grandma. Not to mention she takes good care of like a grandmother. She also is not a bad cook. Ana’s apartment is really nice and big. It has four bedrooms and for the next month ... read more
