Last day I was up early this morning! 8:30! I woke up naturally too; that’s a shocker! But I am ready for home. I’ve enjoyed my ‘relax’ time. It’s really not my regular choice of holidays, but on this occasion, it was fit for purpose! Not good at doing nothing on holiday, but it’s for exactly what I asked for. As I’d half packed last night, I had very little to do this morning. My case is only a small 10k case, so not much to go in it! Also, I haven’t bought anything, so no extra luggage to carry. Day 5, do nothing day! I can’t lie, this blogging in a relaxation, do nothing beach week is hard going! I don’t think I’ll be agreeing to do it again Kate. I just feel like I don’t do, or see anything to write home about!!! But I promised, so I’ll do it to the end. I’ll not be making it into a book though… ha ha! But you would have loved this morning Kate…. With your nosey inclinations! I had such a rude awakening at 5am! There are a couple of lads next door to me. Day 2 I was tossing and turning a lot last night. It wasn’t a great night’s sleep, but I feel fine this morning! I woke up at 6:30 because I forgot to turn my work alarm off! I got back into bed and had a couple more hours good sleep. By the time I actually got up, showered and sorted, it was 9:30. I went down for breakfast in the hotel. I considered going out for breakfast, but decided to ‘eat in’ until I get oriented. It’s all very closed in around the hotel. It is hotel, after hotel, brick on brick. Mallorca beach week! Well, this is going to be a very different blog! I do not usually blog in these little trips: but as I’ve had a special request from Kate, I am giving it a go! Kate asked me to do it due to her extreme quality; which is that she is a self-confessed, very nosey person! I honestly can’t imagine how this is going to go! Holidaying!

It’s holiday time and we are off to a villa in the south east of Spain’s Mallorca, super excited for a week off from work and life in general, time for a San Miguel, beer us, stat! Preparation time and Narla is not happy at been dropped off at the cattery, our parting words consisted of “bye Narla, see you in a week…. Narla, urmmm, hiss!”. Sad times for the fur-baby. El Arenal, Majorca a.k.a Germany.Going on a holiday for a couple for the first time, it is good to go for a fail-safe beach holiday. Although our hotel was next to the beach, we didn't expect it to be the German version of Zante, Malia, Kavos and the like. Those Greek Islands get the condensed tin of Brits, El Arenal gets the 18 year old 'this is my first holiday without my parents and I'm gonna drink all my saved Saturday job money in five days” Germans.We definitely stuck out like two penguins in the Sahara desert walking along the strip.
