Returning to Madrid following Toledo was bitter sweet. Madrid was a big city...but gorgeous at night. Parting from Nic, who I was originally travelling with, at the Madrid airport, Nic leaving to London to return to his family and myself in search of my italian roots?! I hopped an easyjet flight to Milan as it was the cheapest flight into Italy, and decently close to the home of the Simonettis! Almost missing a bus into Milan, and then shortly there after sprinting to catch a train into the small town of Pavia...I was picked up by my..3rd cousins husband.. Antonio!
