A quick run down of my travels from when I last left off (on the boat from Kushadasi to Samos)...... Shan and I caught the ferry from Kusadasi and arrived in Samos more than a little hungover from our nights adventures in Kusadasi and decided that given there was a boat going in a coupe of hours to Ikaria, an Island we realy wanted to visit, despitre our hangovers from the night before we had better get on it.......best decision of the trip we made. Although at the time we were both craving a bed, hanging out for another 3-4 hours was a great decision. To paint a picture think no package tourists, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and no traffic noise. This pretty much summed up where we stayed on Ikaria (and the Island ... read more

From Munich ýt was Athens......only there a day, but ýt really ýs a great cýty to výsýt. The Acroplýs has to be the most dýffýcult majot tourýst attractýon to fýnd.....I thýnk we walked through more back yards and vegýe patches tryýng to fýnd the entrance than road.......I mean you can see ýt, but just cant get to ýt.......That nýght we caught a ferry to the Isalnd of Kos. Its an 8 hour rýde, but týme seems to pass quýckly when you score a fýrst class cabýn...... Kos......well what can I say. Fýrstly have to reccomend the Hotel...Pensýon Alexýs...the best hotel I have ever stayed ýn......the host Sonya made Shan and fee so welcome and the amount of people we met and chatted to durýng the two nýghjts we spent there was unbelýevable.

There is a lot of history in Rhodes and during my time there I didn't see any of it, I was 19 when I went to Rhodes and I saw one part, the bars and clubs of Faliraki. We stayed with a tour operator called Club 18-30 who specialise in clubbing holidays for that age group, shortly after we had booked to go to Faliraki a TV programme started called Club Reps, it was basically about the night life in Faliraki and the reps that worked for Club 18-30. All of my friends and myself watched it and could not wait to go, we were all single and thought it would be great to go somewhere full of alcohol, late night clubs, sun, sea & of course lots of siestas ;-) But it would appear that ... read more

Heading to Crete, an island south of Greece. This is where the travel bug cornered me and attacked. I haven't been able to get rid of it, not that I want to - the beaches, the culture, the people, the food, it was all breathtaking. Spent one month on that heavenly island, and thought it was the most beautiful place on earth. Since then, I have travelled some other places, and realized that everywhere I go is more beautiful than the last, every place I visit I fall in love with, even this tiny town. Planned that trip on my own, and financed most of it. I set my mind to it, did it, and never looked back. Can I spend the rest of my life like that? I don't know, I'm considering doing my schooling ... read more
