Hay, I've just been to school for four days and I made heaps of friends. Some girls have a crush on me! I HATE THAT. I had to be a girl partner, she said "Cool." I'm the fastest kid in the class 'cause I have to run in bare feet. Yesterday I went to Elfenland and saw my feriend called Leo. We wrestled on a jumping castle.... read more

Hay I was in Babelsberg for three days. I went to my friend's daughter's place. She's called Julia, her husband's name is Manuel. Manuel has alot of Batman things. He's got all of the real Batman series on DVD, heaps of Batman mini figures, Batman comics and ... Batman everything!!! At their place they've also got hamsters, a cat and a little girl called Malia. At cake time Manuel said "Etienne ist cool", which means "Etienne is cool". Manuel gave us all of the Batman Staffel DVDs. When we left, my friend Matthias came with us into the restaurant at our hotel that we were staying in. Mum didn't come to dinner with us because it was Boys Only night, but she went to dinner with her own girlfriends. I use to live in Babelsberg. It's ... read more

Hay, I just got back from Denmark. I was at Legoland in Denmark. The sign was made out of Lego. I got a pass so I could go in for free. My dad got also in for free with a pass. The people who went were Mum, Dad, Luke, Ole, Matthias, and me (Etienne). My favourite things were going on a water slide, in the Lego Studio and the Lego Atlantis submarine. I LOVED IT!!! I also went on a rollercoaster, a water slide, jet skis, but the best thing ever was the fireworks. It was my 8th birthday on the 1st Nov. We made little fireworks and things called Knallerbsen. They are little things that when you throw them to the ground... BANG! I got money. I also got a Diary of a Wimpy Kid ... read more

Guten Tag! About the Autostadt and the other places. You don't really know about them. To begin with, Autostadt is a place with lots of Lamborghinis, Volkswagens, Audis, Skodas, Seats and Bentleys. It's a a theme park at a Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg. Luke and I got our drivers licence there, we had to do theory training for it, then we had to drive cars around a test circuit. There were traffic lights, give way signs, stop signs and round abouts. I crashed my car! In Germany you have to drive on the right hand side. So we had to do that too. Oh, and in America you have to drive on the the right hand side too. My Oma's sister lived in America with her husband once, until they moved into Switzerland. Elfenland is an ... read more

Sorry, we haven't had internet until now. We've been to so many places. Today's my uncle's 49th birthday! First we drove to Sydney and flew to Singapore. We took an A380 from Singapore Airlines. I watched movies, played games, and just before we landed, I vomited. Another girl vomited too. I kept on starting to fall asleep while we were waiting to get on the next plane. The next plane trip was better than the first one, even though it was longer. I liked the food but my second meal of pancakes tasted like spit! On the plane, I watched Cars 2, Hop and a quarter of the real life Green Lantern. It was a bit rude but I ignored the swear words. We arrived in Amsterdam and had to hang around for two hours at ... read more

The day started early, meeting Alan and Pauline, June & Phil in Braintree at 4.30. Alan & June are driving the lead vehicle, Princess, with us in Victory following close behind. We found we needed to call into the docks at Ramsgate to collect the Customs paperwork, and then on to Dover. This seems to be a preferred option, as collecting paperwork at Dover can take longer. The trip to the coast went like clockwork, and we boarded the 8.00 a.m. ferry as planned. On board the ferry, I began to hunt for my tablets, which I knew I had packed, but were not in any of the places that I tried. So we decided to go on to get breakfast and see if they turned up later, with me hoping that I didn't flake out! ... read more

It has taken me a really long time to write this blog. I think it is partially because this journey has been quite an emotional one. I hadn’t anticipated that it was going to be so much of an emotional strain but it has been. I have spent a lot of time contemplating exactly what I was going to write for this blog and I have decided to confront my trip from all angles…the good and the not so good. After discussing some of the issues with Greg, I decided it’s high time we get the word out that the few months after graduation are not always fun…In fact, they are rather depressing, which is what made leaving for Germany so difficult. The last couple of weeks before I left were sad and terrifying…but everyone ... read more

Last Sunday, I participated in my second triathlon, which took place in Wilhelmshaven, about two hours from Hamburg. This time, there were no minor catastrophes. I found the place right away, checked my bike in, prepared all my gear and made sure I knew which way I would have to run and cycle, and how many rounds there were to do. Then I just had to wait. I did not get excited until I listened to one announcement they were repeating a couple of times: All the short distance triathletes were supposed to meet fifteen minutes before the start for a briefing, and they told us to bring our neoprene suits because we would start right after the briefing. I did not have a neoprene suit, and I hadn’t even worried about it. The swimming part ... read more

Nun ist es Zeit, zurück zu blicken und ein Fazit zu ziehen. Wo bin ich alles gewesen? Was habe ich erlebt? Wen habe ich kennengelernt? Was habe ich mitgenommen? WO? Indien, südlicher Teil. Bengaluru, Salem und Umgebung, Ooty, Bandipur Nationalpark, Kochi, Alleppey und Backwaters. WAS?
