Ok...so Berlin is amazing. Everything about it is unique, and it is totally different from everywhere else we've been. It feels like a european city, but the visual history is limited since so much of the city has been destroyed so many times. The people are probably the friendliest we've encountered yet, which was very unexpected, but obviously very welcome. It's really not a city I could ever really see myself settling in though, because the history really does give it a permanently very eery feeling. Our first day in town we took a free (!!!) city walking tour which was amayzing. It was basically an extremely condensed 3.5 hour history lesson.
