Our tour stops out front of Humboldt University at the site of the Nazi bookburnings. The memorial is a glass window in the ground that looks down on an empty library.

Ok...so Berlin is amazing. Everything about it is unique, and it is totally different from everywhere else we've been. It feels like a european city, but the visual history is limited since so much of the city has been destroyed so many times.
