Absolutely gutted - cheesy cabaret on boat replaced by football on big screen No probs getting free of the port but good job we had sat nav to warn us of a 77 min delay. Arrived without a speeding ticket for once and have a good pitch at the side of the Rhine - We are the only English in the village - think we may be watching the football in our tent tomorrow!. Chilled out ... read more

Thursday 4.3.2010 day 142 Lake Tegernsee and Lake spitzingees and ski field. Well after all the excitement of yesterday we decided to have a quiet day driving around the quite little Bavarian towns on Lake Tegernsee and then Lake Spitzingees and the ski fields. In the town of Tegernsee is a Benedictine abbey founded in the 8th century. It was acquired in 1817 by King Maximillian I and converted it into a castle. Today it accommodates a secondary school gymnasium and the imperial brewery. ... read more
