Endurance rah rah! you go girl ha ha. It all sounds very fun with great views, food and company. Hope the weather is nice there and not too hot--must be ok as see Dil in yellow jacket. :)
We led the pack "All we are saying ....is give Peace a chance......" this words are so necessarily repetitive and we still have not learned our lessions from the past. So many more dying in wars today:( What an important piece of history and culture you are now walking with----thank you for spreading peace with the peoples there and learning from them in this way. It couldn't make us happier to know you are both there now, visiting this beautiful land and these lovely people who at one time our country participated in diminishng their humanity and destroying their villages. Finally we can find some peace and justice knowing you have gone as true ambassadors of love and good will. love, mamac
Sound like you guys had fun From what I have read it seem you guys had a lot of fun. I am looking to go to Hainan in the coming week with some friends and would like the contact info for Sanya Blue Sky International Youth Hostel where you guys stayed. I know I am going there at a time when it is very difficult to get rooms, but I am hoping to have as much fun as you guys did...
Sadness What a gut-wrenching experience to view the torture chambers, killing fields, and the place where skulls were deposited. I look at the pictures of the Cambodians and wonder just why they were tortured and killed. They look so young. What could they have done to deserve such treatment?

Awesome It is neat to see the difference of 2.5 months what the dry season does to the floating village. Pete couldn't believe his eyes when we saw no water around the houses.
lions no tigers yes yikes Well I'm glad you didn't come face to face with the tigers on this hike:) I'ts hard to imagine all the hand labor that went into the intricate carvings everywhere. Staci you look like one hikin pro here:) love and hugs and smiles, mamaC
Love story Cambodia sounds like a country you have both fallen deeply in love with.....the people most of all, their smiles dispite all their adversity, the beauty of the land and the generosity. Will you go back after the program again perhaps? Thanks kids for being you, love, mamaC
from a Cambodian girl U amazed me after reading your writing. You make me feel that Cambodia is the Best of all besides the fact of poverty in the country. A number of tourists just come to visit and gone. I don't know how they feel, but they don't say anything, so you can imagine that.
I do love all the food you described, and the way Siem Reap is set up. I was there 10 years ago, and got back last month. There are too much to talk about even I have been part of the country for more than 20years.
Thanks for your visit.
Beautiful scenes How nice it is to keep up with everything you are experiencing. These memories will last a lifetime, I'm sure. Your pictures are so clear and colorful. It was kind of you to let the children use the camera. The bike rides were rather harrowing, I feel, and glad that you didn't fall off. We hope the remainder of this fantastic trip will be good. We send our love and prayers. Grandma
WOW All I can say is amazing amazing amazing....incredible day and I can't wait to see the pictures. This all sounds so beautiful, fun , crazy and a blast. I ate a coconut popsicle to toast to your coconut day:)
So happy for you! Cambodia sounds like a lovely place and wonderful people...so glad you are experiencing them and their culture and beauty. I never would have thought to go there and yet now I see another reason why travel is the best and to expand one's horizons. This really cannot be done soley through a book or another's eyes. But on the other hand, since I am not there and most likely won't ever be, I thank you both for sharing in this lovely land and people and giving me a small sense of what you love about them and their homeland:) love, mamaclare
Enjoy Siem Reap We loved reading your blog as it brought back the fabulous times we had there just 2 months ago. Enjoy Siem Reap as it is an AWESOME place.
Who you lie? no...... I enjoyed reading the NY times article altho you guys had already told me about this city being upscale. I enjoy info on these places you are at and visit. I hear via blip and teagone that there are lots of post cards in Thailand hint hint. mabybe I'll even try this mailing system with a few again so we make the happy board ha ha. I've been scared off from mailing things. maybe I'll put into the manila envelope again. I think your upcoming trip will be fantastic:)
After graduating from college in 2007 and spending a few years in the working world, we randomly decided to move across the world and teach English in China. Hmm...foolish, or awesome? It's going to be the year of a lifetime, with adventures we'll never forget. Join us as we cry, laugh, experience life as we never have before, and make new friends while trying to stay in touch with the old ones. We'll be returning to the USA during the summer of 2010, where we'll hopefully move to a new city and begin life yet again anew.... full info

It sounds like the LP hasn't been that on with your travels for food. But you have found many other amazing places.
