Just another sign that China will soon own us...as we tell kids to believe in a little man dressed in a red suit who delivers things "made in China!"...good thought process on her part! Sounds like you guys have had a fun although different week so far...and we too will be eager to see the portraits once you get them! Love you both!

Sounds like you all had a very very good time sharing your day to day life:) I'll be interested to hear all about it from them and will definitely check out you dad's blog soon. Have a wonderful time soaking up the luxury at the hotel and then celebratin with your new friends on Christmas and New Year's. You will both be missed so much this year here but there is a warmth and comfort knowing you are happy and with people who love you over there. Merry Christmas our special dew drops:):)

what exciting plans you have for your nice long break! Hard to imagine that you are headed to a country where lots of young Americans DID NOT want to go to back in the 70s!
26th November 2009

amen to that!
We are thankful for being blessed with family and friends also and to have gained some new family members--the Togs! We are thankful that you boht have made such good friends to celebrate with in China and that the people there at the school treat you both so well...enjoy the gobbling:)

Weird fish
What an education you are getting. You certainly were courageous in taking on the flesh eating fish. Your experience with Raffalea (spelling) was interesting. Domineering women can make for a frustrating time, as men can also do. We are well; got our flu shots today. We will help out a little tomorrow by taking care of Harper. She is almost two months old now. I don't suppose Thanksgiving is something that is celebrated in China. We hope you can find a way to celebrate it there. We have much to be thankful for. We send our love.

open trunks
Oh Martin...hopefully you did successfully detach any little freeloaders that made their way into your trunks...what an experience! Impressive Staci that you didn't react to the ice cold bath...and of course you no doubt loved the coffee bath! Good for both of you for surviving your time with your new found friends at the spa...they both sound like interesting characters for sure. Too bad for John re the pizza place! Love hearing about all your adventures and of course love all the pictures...you guys are doing and seeing so much!

LOL
I was cracking up laughing at Martin's experience of the fish swimming up his shorts. TOO FUNNY!!! I only got to stick my feet into the fish tank so I could only imagine having your whole body in with the fish.

Sounds Fun
Ahh the beach and the food sounds like a good time. We know what you mean about eating all kinds of Western food while on vacation, gotta get it while we can.
12th November 2009

Come on!
How can you not love mcdonalds? If I recall, it should be your yearly anniversary restaurant!

perfect vacation
sounds like an absolutely wonderful vacation...just the kind we all need now and then. So the puppy you played with, is that the same one that became so intimate with Martin upon your arrival? The one in your picture you posted the other day was beautiful! Enjoy the beach and the next few days of relaxation before heading back to ummmm...what is it that you are supposed to be doing over there...oh yeah, teaching! Love you!
11th November 2009

and the adventure continues!
I am laughing so hard...but only because I know even with all this hubbub (yes I did use that word) that you made it safe and sound as I just saw your beautiful smiling faces on video chat! Enjoy your adventure! Love you both!

For the record, I am almost positive we NEVER said we'd be so stressed out. Sure, it's stressful being in a new environment and speaking a new language! But with the teaching? Not at all. We knew it'd be one big vacation. :)

Found
Hey StaciAndMartin! I found your blog through some creative stalking and wanted to ask if it was alright to link to it from mine. Also, thanks for documenting your Hong Kong adventure so well - I'm going to go back there in a few hours for more family fun, so maybe I will find some Butt food too. -Andrew
