My African tour Jan 3 and 4th So my first flight out of the USA got cancelled/rescheduled to  about 5 hours later only to have it delayed another 2 hours when I arrived at the airport. Then we boarded when were were supposedly leaving and then sat on the plane for about another hour. Good start. I did meet a cople of kids when I went though security that were studing abroad here for a few weeks I over heard one of them say he didn't bring enough underware something like 14 pair weren't enough. I was shocked. I didnt think I own 14 pair of underware that's crazy. Haha anyway then I sat next to another kid studying Arabic here for the year. We chatted a bit on the plane which made the ride go ... read more

Nov 16 So I didn't sleep to well last night because I couldn't breath very well and it's so dry hear my mouth or nose would just dry out terribly.  Jay was really tired n wanting to sleep in but I coinvinced him to get up and go surf. We both were worried what the surf was gonna look like because it had been really windy by us all morning. We were having troubles getting a taxi n were thinking it was a sign not to go. Haha but we finally got one and managed to grab the bus right before it left. As we were walking to anchor point we had hopes, it didn't look big but realitively clean and only a few guys out. But by the time we walked all the way there ... read more

Nov 11 n 12 Well i'm combinging these 2 days because they were down days for us. We litterally did nothing internet, eating, reading, sleeping. There was one thing I was gonna add but I can't remember so it couldn't have been that big. Haha Nov 13 Today was another slow lazy day. We ate n did some errands in the am.  The next swell was supposed to start filling intoday so we decided to try the break called banana point. It wasn't bad only about waist high but we snaged some really fun chill lines. It was a perfect beginer wave so there was tons of them out there. As we were shotng the line it was like a mind field. We did a quick bareback surf. The water was probably lowmid 60s so we ... read more

Nov 6 So today we had to go find where the break is. I wantted to suit up and go look but jay said why don't we just go for a walk first and look at it. Well it took us around a hour to get to the break where it was firing, at least head high to over head with steep fast walls. So we sat and watched it a bit and I said well i've seen enough let's get our stuff. We decided to try and take the road back and maybe get a taxi but we didn't find one till we were about half way back. Once we got back we suited up and got a taxi back to the point this all took about 2 hours or so which doesn't seem ... read more

Oct 29 So today we headed to Amado after breaky. It was a west facing beach break just south of carapeteria.  It had a nice right hander off the north side of the beach and left hander off he south side. We opted for the right hander when we got there however after about ten mins it shut down there was a huge rip that pulled right through it. So we went to shore to reassed and decided to try the left. We both got some good waves nothing epic or legendary but a really fun beach break and it would barrell on the inside, whether you'd make it or not is a different story but it was good fun. This beach was set back in a cove surrounded by red rock cliffs. So it gave ... read more

Oct 23 We had a lazy wake up today. Jay cooked us up some breaky. After hanging out for a bit we decided to walk through town and so some souveiner shopping. The walking/shopping street in galway was very nice. Many of the buildings are very colorful here it makes for a very cheerful sight. We walked around town for a few bours I spent alot of money, we had a nice lunch then we headed back to shane's and hung out till he got home from work. When he did Shane and I went out for a 5 mile run through the city. It was a cool way to see the city, we ran down by the harbor it was ... read more

Oct 13 Today I had to finish packing and close down the house because tonight we are headed to Ireland. After I finsihed everything and was ready to go I had to bike about 3 miles with my 50 lb pack on me to jays house. Where we were supposed to get picked up by his friend Tom. However Tom had called and said he was running late and it would help if we could meet him on the mainland. So jay scrambled to call some people luckily chris pulled through for us and was able to get us to toms house. From there it was an easy drive up to metro park where we took the train to Penn station and met jays dad for dinner. We had a nice quick dinner in Penn plaza. ... read more

April 28 Today I rented a bike to go see the Temple of heaven park. . It was very beautiful. Apparently one of the oldest all wooden ancient buildings left. There used to be many ceremonies and sacrifices performed here. The grounds were beautiful many plants, flowers and very old trees. There was one building that's called the echo hall. Due to the fact that's it's so perfectly round shaped you can talk to someone on the others side very easily because the sounds reverberates so well. However it was to crowed and noisy for me to try and test it. There was a couple of other sites that I checked out all very impressive. Then I went to the pearl market with the thoughts of buying a few last gifts but when I walked in ... read more

April 24 So my day started off pretty sweet, morning hot tub soak and shower. From my sauna it was a short walk to the train station to grab my bag and the bus stop was right outside. We managed to get passed by 3 other airport buses on the way our driver was really slow. But we made it with time to spare. I was just sitting down after check on to eat some crackers and peanut butter and milk when I heard my name called over the loud speaker. They had scanned my bag for security and wanted to see me knife. I don't know why, I was leaving the country and it was under the plane. The girl said your not allowed knives to bring big knives but again I was leaving not ... read more

April 20 cont. So I got if the bus in Chuncheon and I decided to try and ask the info both for a cheap place to stay. The woman had to call another info both so I could speak to that woman in the phone. It was a bit funny but it worked out well. She told me the cheapest hotel was 30000 wan which is about 25 usd or so. I didn't want to pay that so the woman thought for a minute and spoke to the Korean at the both I was at. Then she handed me back the phone and the woman said I could stay in a public bath house for 8000 a night. "Sold." She said I'd have to sleep in a room with Koreans. I didn't mind it was about ... read more
