Geo: 7.94341, 98.2889Once again we were up early, no wait, we had a sleep in until 7am, so once we were showered and dressed, we headed down for breakfast, by this, I mean we literally have to go down about 30-40metres in height to get to breakfast. We are in a terraced room higher up, but not as high as some of the rooms here, they would be 75-100metres higher and they have golf buggies to take them up, no elevators here anywhere, it's either steps or steep slope!!So after breakfast, we did the same, checked emails, and travelpod and spoke on the phone to Melanie. We returned to our room to change into our bathers the went back down for a swim for an hour or so. Then it was time to pack up and ... read more

Geo: 7.89467, 98.2933This morning we awoke to another beautiful day, not much wind with lovely blue skies. We went for breakfast again sitting in front of the pool with great ocean views behind. After breakfast, again we sat in the lobby to sync the travelpod photos and story, and then we changed and went for a quick swim. We were booked on the 11.30am shuttle to Patong, where we were dropped off at Jungceylon Shopping Centre, this place is huge, shops everywhere and food stalls and thousands of people, locals and tourists. We spent maybe 1.5 hours there and we decided before we bought stuff from Big C, (the local supermarket, bit like Coles and Kmart put together but bigger,) that we would come back before our shuttle pick up so we didn't have to carry ... read more

Geo: 7.94341, 98.2889No sleep ins for us, we always seem to be up and out early, I came out onto balcony as it was peaceful, took some photos, then made our way to the breakfast area. Our table was right in front of the pool overlooking the bay of Kamala Beach. Breakfast was a choose what you want buffet, a huge variety of food. Once we ate,we then lazed about by the pool after using the wifi to check emails, Facebook and to sync the Travelpod. The sun sure has a bite over here, so we didn't stay out for too long. We caught the shuttle into Kamala for some shopping and a swim, then catching the 3pm shuttle back, then back again to the beach for dinner. We were dropped off in the middle of ... read more

Geo: 7.94341, 98.2889Today of course is a day that we sort of slept in, not too late but later than expected. I messaged Vincent early as we had something for his Mum and we organised to meet for breakfast. Vincent and his family were going to meet us near our hotel as we couldn't risk being late to get to the airport. We eventually met only Vincent and Toto as his Dad was not well and ended up at the doctors. We went into Raffles City Marketplace and we ate some bread with some sort of peanut spread with 2 sunny side up eggs, doused in soy sauce and pepper. This is a Malaysian /Singapore type of meal, it was very nice so we bought 2 jars of the spread to take home. We then said ... read more

Geo: 1.28941, 103.85This morning we got up bright and early as we needed to catch the train to Harbour Front shopping centre so we could catch the Cable car to Sentosa Island. From here, we met up with Vincent and Toto, who were also coming to Sentosa. When we got to the top, we bought Luge rides, 5 rides for Vincent and Clint, and 3 for Toto and myself, (we should have bought 5!!). The challenge was on!! We grabbed our helmets and our Luge and we were off. First one to the bottom was Vincent ( we let him win!!), then we got the chairlift back to the top for round 2. On round 3, we raced down the hill but grouped to get a photo together, then continued to the bottom. Rounds 4 and ... read more

Geo: 1.28941, 103.85Well the day started early, like 6.20 am as I forgot to change the alarm time!! We awoke to yet another spectacular view with the sun still to come up over Marina Bay Sands, you could see it getting lighter each minute. We had some breakfast in our room thanks to Vincent's Mum and Dad buying BBQ chicken coins so we added them to some bread that we bought! We headed off into the heat towards Suntec City which is 5 buildings, each separate but every building has its own shopping malls!! All too much for me! (Yeah Right we all believe that) Lucky they were closed until 10am. We found the Alive Museum which is where you pose with different paintings and they look realistic, as though you are actually there! We then went ... read more

Geo: 1.28941, 103.85Well, it hasn't been 12 months since our last big trip and we are off again, the alarm was set for early although being hot during the night, I didn't get much sleep. We said our byes to Nikki who was still sleeping like a princess, then headed out the door. Melanie is our driver to the Airport, but this was just a kiss and drop as she too was tired!! We checked into Singapore Airlines, then waited for our boarding call after a quick shop at Duty Free!!Our flight was on time for departure, 10.25am and we took off over the sea. An hour into the flight we were served drinks and not long after, lunch! Lunch was great, I had Slow Braised Chicken and Clint had Beef Goulash and he gave me ... read more

Geo: 25.02, 121.45This morning we did our final packing, trying to jam everything in the suitcases as per usual then went down for breakfast. We checked out of our room and left our bags in the lobby, then went to the underground as our final day was going to be adventurous!! We got off the train near a shopping centre but because we were up early, nothing was opened so we found a place to have coffee and waited a bit then we found a few shops that were opened. We found the shopping centre that has a huge Ferris Wheel and went and bought tickets. This Ferris Wheel started on the 5th floor so from the ground, it was very high up. There wasn't very many people around today, maybe it was still too early! ... read more
