No sleep ins for us, we always seem to be up and out early, I came out onto balcony as it was peaceful, took some photos, then made our way to the breakfast area. Our table was right in front of the pool overlooking the bay of Kamala Beach. Breakfast was a choose what you want buffet, a huge variety of food.
Once we ate,we then lazed about by the pool after using the wifi to check emails, Facebook and to sync the Travelpod. The sun sure has a bite over here, so we didn't stay out for too long.
We caught the shuttle into Kamala for some shopping and a swim, then catching the 3pm shuttle back, then back again to the beach for dinner.
We were dropped off in the middle of Kamala, then we walked up the main road, wandering along avoiding being hit by cars and scooters, then messaging Josie to find out about the bar they went to and also where the Friday Night Market was. After walking up one end, then right down to the other end then inland a bit, then halfway back to town, we found the night market!!!
This market
had everything from fresh food to cooked foods to drinks, sweets, clothing, bags, toys, belts and everything else. After wandering the whole market, and I must say, this area where the market is, it's so rough under your feet, it's an area that was wiped out with the Tsunami, and it's like it hasn't even been levelled properly since then, it was up, down and very uneven. Well I chose my dinner first from the street food, Clint still deciding what to eat, then also choosing the same as me, fried rice with chicken sticks! It also came with some salad. The Rice was 30baht and the Chicken sticks were 10baht each. I had 2 so my meal cost 50baht, so AUD$ 2.00 Clint lashed out and had 1 more stick so $2.40
After finishing at the market, we walked probably 1km into the town so we could catch a taxi to take us to our resort.
Once we arrived back, we went straight to the pool as we were so hot. So refreshing after a long day .
I think life would be boring sitting by the pool all day, that might be normal for some people but we've got
too much to see and do. (Yeah!!! well let me try I'll let you know)
Collapsed into bed once again!!!
