Well I am really cranky now. After spending the best part of an hour telling you all about where we have been and what we have been doing, the internet at our Salt Lake City hotel decided to kick me off before I had a chance to auto save my blog. I HATE computers sometimes (isn't that right Cathie Dill??) and I really don't have the energy to write it all back down again so I'm giving you an abbreviated version this time. Sorry. 2 full days in Las Vegas. WOW WOW WOW. Nathan Burton magic show = fantastic. Legends in Concert show with impersonators doing Elvis, Janis Joplin, Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson = brilliant. Huge Bellagio fountain show with flame throwers and fireworks as they were filming a new video for a song by ... read more

,Well hello everyone from sunny and WARM Palm Springs. It's good to pack the cardigan and jeans away for a change. We were headed up to Boston when I last wrote and on the way there we stopped at a beautiful town called Wethersfield that had the most magnificent old homes that are still being lived in today and they are hundreds of years old. You would never guess how old they are as they are so well kept. I have included photos of just a few houses but there were whole streets full of these gems. Don't forget to look for the ghost house. After leaving Wethersfield we called in for a tour of Mark Twain's house in Hartford Connecticut and that is also a museum. Did you know that Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain) ... read more

Well hello there friends and relatives. You will all be shocked to hear that Noel and I managed to leave Australia without any lost passport issues, explosives swabs or cavity searches. Our flight with Delta to the US was really great. A bit bumpy in parts but not bad. The best bit for Noel was the leg room and for me it was the 3, not 2, but 3 meals they served and the fact that we didn't end up in the Pacific! We had a day stay at the Travelodge LAX, which I would have to say is not the best looking motel in town, but when you only want a sleep and a shower it served it's purpose. We jumped on the "red eye" to New Jersey where we picked up a car for ... read more

Welcome to my blog, to all the people receiving this for the first time. Please reply to this email if you do not want to get any further blogs from me. So the first scare for our travels has already happened and we haven't even left the country. I noticed I did not get my alert to tell me to do online checkin today. I thought to myself "I'd better go to the Virgin Australia site and do it." I kept getting the message ..."You have no upcoming trips planned". O...M...G!!!!! I usually book tickets direct and this time I had booked online via Flight Centre. I was thinking "Did they actually pass on my booking to Virgin?" A phone call (and one heart attack later) I got onto someone who said that because I was ... read more

Dearest friends from around the World It is only 20 more days until Noel and I vacate Australia and head on off to the beautiful United States (YES again!!!) for yet another adventure. Nine glorious weeks away from household chores, work, family worries and those awful children of ours. JUST JOKING BOYS!!!!! :) If anyone who receives this email would prefer NOT to receive any of my hilarious and informative blogs please let me know now, so that I can delete your email from my listing of "special people" in my life (but don't expect a Christmas card if you do). A special "thank you" in advance to the wonderful Paulette and Larry from Woodbridge Connecticut and my lovely Texas pen pal Cathie and her husband Barney from Waller Texas for allowing Noel and I to ... read more

WE'RE BACK!!!!! Made it home safe and sound after a gruelling 39 and a half hours since waking up yesterday morning in San Diego. Noel got a few hours sleep last night on the LAX to Fiji leg but I have only had a 2 hour cat nap on the Fiji to Sydney leg today. I'm starting to feel pretty shattered but I promised the boys a returning home celebratory dinner tonight down at the pub. I only need to hold out another 3 hours then I can crash big time. Thank you everyone for all your lovely and/or funny comments on the blogs I have written. I'm so glad so many of you find my blogs witty and informative. It was great having you all come along for the ride, so to speak. See you ... read more

BBBWWWWaaahhhhhhhhh the holiday is OVER!!!!!!! Can you believe it? Five and a half weeks has just vanished into thin air. I'm glad we have 12,380 photos and 3,000 hours of video as proof that we were actually here otherwise I'd be inclined to think it was all a dream. Tonight is our last night at the Declan Suites in San Diego. One last sleep in tomorrow and then we drive ourselves via the beaches, La Jolla, Huntington, Laguna and Long Beach for our 11.30pm flight out of LAX. Since my last blog we spent 3 nights at the Marriott in Anaheim. We did two huge days back to back at Disneyland and California Adventure Land. Both were fantastic. Disneyland is 60 years old this year. The shows and attractions were fantastic. I even managed to drag ... read more

Well helloooooo everyone. We're back with internet again after a wonderful 7 night cruise on the Radiance of the Seas. Please do yourselves a favour and book a cruise on this ship. She is big and beautiful. The staff were fantastic. The ports of call were great and apparently we lucked it again with great weather in every port, which was out of the ordinary even for the Alaskan summer. We found out that a Disney cruise about 2 days behind us was battling 3-4 metre swells and rain. The Radiance was so stable and the water so calm that you didn't even know you were on a cruise until you looked out the windows. Even Noel loved it AND he won the James Bond trivia and the Beatles trivia all by himself. We are now ... read more
