Geo: 44.4475, -110.811Toward the end we got to see a lot of buffalo! Everytime I saw buffalo, Kevin Costner's imitation of a buffalo in Dances with Wolves would pop into my mind. So it became a running joke between me and Naomi. We ended up looking at a restaurant ajoined to the Best Western for dinner. After looking at the prices, we promptly went back across the street to Outlaws for calzones. It was raining a little bit in the evening. We stopped by Wild Water Rafting company after eating and set up our rafting trip for the morning. Then it was back to the Super 8 for some R and R.... read more

Geo: 44.4475, -110.811We got to Old Faithful about 1:30 p.m. According to a clock inside the lodge, we had about an hour to wait. So we had lunch at the lodge's cafeteria. What an expensive meal it was! Naomi and I both paid about $18 for each of our meals. The meals, which wasn't the greatest, should have been under $10. We then headed outside to stake a place in the shade along the side of the building while we waited for the 2:40 eruption. While it did erupt, it was about 20 minutes late. Geo: 45.0319, -110.705We got into Gardiner a little later than I had expected, but we settled in our 1st floor room. I stayed at this Super 8 eight years ago for about $60 a night. Today, it costs $150 a night! The main reason is it is peak season for Yellowstone National Park. The room had a king bed and a couch that folded out into a queen size bed. Naomi took the couch bed since the other bed was next to the air conditioner and I need to be cold to sleep. So far Naomi has been able to withstand my need for coldness. Naomi immediately plugged herself in to her online friends or worked on her laptop while I downloaded some pics and tried to get some blogging done for about an hour. It ... read more
