Geo: 39.103, -94.583Trip was uneventful until I got to Kansas City. I have used my car's cruise control to avoid getting a ticket. Every summer for the past 2 years I have gotten a speeding ticket. While I know that I drive fast, both of those times, I was either coming downhill or just not paying attention to the spedometer. However, this time I got caught in a speed trap along with other drivers just as I entered Kansas City. The interstate's speed is 70mph and the interchange was apparently 55mph. I was trying to stay in the lane that would keep me on I70W, had to deal with road construction, and then noticed all the cops along the right shoulder. I may stay a day there to do some white water rafting or site seeing. I left at just about 5 a.m., after waking up later than planned due to my phone's alarm not sounding due to a technical problem in the phone. Geo: 40.7978, -85.8206Mom, Dad, and I got to the Wabash City Park about 11:30 a.m. Within in minutes we were all sweating, even mom, who rarely sweats. We helped with the selling of 50-50 Raffles and the sign-in book. It was nice seeing everyone again. Most of those who showed up from the family were the same ones who came out to Dea's last month. The attendance was the lowest I have ever seen. I think that due to the heat many people stayed home. Mom, Dad, and I even left before the group picture was finished being taken. Geo: 41.6728, -85.5803Rose and I went to Shipshewana's Antique Market. I always go to see a man from Kokomo who sets up a booth that sells postcards. I was able to get about 20 postcards of Peru and 1 of Bunker Hill Air Force Base (now Grissom Reserve AFB) for $32. Rose found some circus liquer bottles and some Occupied Japan items along with some bells. On the way home we tried a sports restaurant in Columbia City. The owner had a pick-up truck that was completely decorated in Colts decor. The food was good. After getting back to Peru, and taking a nap, I decided to start cleaning the sidewalk of all the weeds that had grown up through the cracks.
