We are always welcome in their home. They have the best bed in the world. The Burks went to an Italian restaurant for supper. We just ate an appetizer, since we had just eaten at Chic-fil-A not too much earlier.Because Bobbie is in the midst of her studies for her Doctorate, we didn't want to stay up too late and chat. I went to bed around 8:30am.Bobbie keeps ALL my "thank-you cards" by the guest bedroom night stand.... read more

Now I have one from LA.We had enough time to visit with Nathan O'day in the Student Center at LeTourneau University. Nathan's parents are CAM missionaries and also Moody grads. We also had enough time to visit with Dr. Shelton. He would travel down to Bolivia and we would help with the connections to Rincon del Tigre. After the LeTourneau stop, we stopped by Keith and Debbie Wilkerson's house. Keith was not there, but Debbie and her g'daughter, Jordan, was there with her new baby.... read more

First Baptist Liberty City asked for a volunteer to fly her over. And of course I couldn't pass that by. I stayed a few extra days.Margaret and her husband came to visit u in Guatemala just 2 years ago, when they were journeying around the world. They took Spanish classes in Antigua. And then we drove them to Semuc Champey for a 2 day visit at the water falls there. Lovely folks. They just had a baby born several months ago. Asher was very content.... read more

Since we had lunch planned with Savana at her school in Shreveport at noon, we had to leave early enough to have enough time to walk through BMA camp, Miracle Camp.We were greeted by the new camp director. He mentioned that BMA went bankrupt in 1994. The day BMA was going to "give" the camp over to Awana, there was a car accident and a person was killed. Awana decided not to take the "camp" because of pending litigations of law suits and stuff.BMA camp was finally purchased by a church in Kansas City and then the camp part was "broken off" ... read more

All the Cheshiers were there and we chatted a bit with them. The Cheshiers were CAM missionaries several years ago in Mexico. We left after the first service at First Bible Church and headed towards Pinson, Alabama where the Selfs live.We got to the Selfs house just around lunch time and were able to visit most of the afternoon. Linda had put some "shrimp" into her gumbo soup, so we "Quickly" took that out since Glenn is allergic to Shrimp. Because it didn't soak up the juice very much, he didn't have any reaction. Good thing. We left the Selfs house at 4pm and ... read more
