Geo: 38.5733, -109.549We just finished 4 amazing days and nights rafting about 95 miles of the Colorado River through Cataract Canyon. We slept each night on cots under the stars.....incredible. The water was extremely high because of the snow melt so the rapids were pretty awesome...Class 4 and 5. And, there was a stretch of rapids that lasted a mile that was pretty intense. I don't have any shots of running the rapids but hope to have some soon.At the conclusion of the rafting trip, we were supposed to take 3-5 passenger Cessna planes back to Moab, but it was too windy to land on the small airstrip (Friday the 13th). So, we had to take a 3 hour bus trip in a less than air conditioned bus to get back to Moab.....all part of the ... read more

Geo: 38.7199, -109.589We spent an incredible day at Arches National Park. The pictures tell it all.We are staying in the town of Moab tonight. We are going to walk a few blocks to a restaurant, go to orientation at the Moab Adventure Center at 8:00 pm, and hit the water tomorrow at 7:15 am.i will post again Friday evening.....if all goes well...ha ha. ... read more
