"The Baths" To get there and back, you have to swim. The boat docks and we jump out and take a swim to get onto Virgin Gorda Island. A tiny little hike through rocks and caves. The boat picks us up at the other end. We take time to enjoy the amazing water and take turns jumping off the boat. As we leave, we see giant skull faces in the rocks.... read more

We spent a week in gorgeous St. John. This was our first trip to the Caribbean. The water has indescribable beauty and warmth. It is spectacular in so many ways. We were blessed with great opportunity to photograph a friends wedding and stay with all the family for our week stay on the island. We lived a life style that most dream of. Our accommodations were sprawling gigantic villas with sweeping views overlooking blue lagoon bays and on out to the British Virgin Islands. The weather was pretty hot and humid which I think is normal for the time of year (mid July). The best time spent was cooling off and chillin' in the water. The bugs are abundant and like to eat you alive, but you don’t realize it until your home getting ready for ... read more

After a long trip from San Diego to St. Thoms, USVI we were welcomed off the plane with refreshing choice of rum shots. We love the Island life. We stayed in quaint hotel overlooking the town of Charlotte Amalie. We had some time the next day to see a little of St. Thomas before we headed over to meet our friends in St. John for the week. We spent most of our day sitting in AC drinking pina coladas and other rum drinks bewteen walking around the historic part of Charlotte. The weather is very hot and humid. After half a day wandering in the humid heat, we decided it was time to catch the car ferry over to St. John and get our vacation started...... read more

Spent the weekend in amazing Capay Valley for wedding. We stayed in Woodland, which is approx. 10 mins from the Sacramento Airport. The wedding was at this amazing ranch in the Capay Valley, called Taber Ranch, which was approx. 35 minute drive from Woodland. The Capay Valley and surrounding area was really beautifull to drive through with charming farmlands and blue skies for miles. The ranch is a most perfect place to get married, with golden rolling hills, beautiful sweeping oak trees, lovely rows of vinyard and the most intricate, colorfull garden. They have a couple of old red convertable caddillacs and a yellow school bus to transport people to and from the parking area. The ceremony site requires a bit of a hike to the top of a hill. The climb is worth it with ... read more

North America » United States » Ohio » Cincinnati April 26th 2008

I made my first trip to Cincinnati, Ohio. Bill has made a visit last year. So we have both been to Cincinnati, but not together. I went on a mission (a quick 3 nights/2days) to photograph maternity photos for our friend. It was a quick visit and we spent most of the 2 days I was there doing maternity photos and MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Photos turned out great and we had a good time doing them. I found Cincinnati to be really charming. I love the old colonial style architecture and the country side is really spectacular, even on over cast rainy day. Besides the 2 day photo session, my friends took me out for an evening out in Downtown Cincinnati. We went to a really cool lounge like restaurant with the best ceviche I have ever ... read more

4 Days in Netherlands, where we enjoyed the great city of Amsterdam. Don't let the stigma give you the wrong idea with all the "Coffee Shops" and red light ladies. I am not sure why people seem to cringe or give a suspicious look when you mention Amsterdam?? It is a great place and not sinfull like so many people seem to think. Yes it does have some questionable elements, but where in the world doesn't? The Red Light District is quite facinating and it is more interetesting to watch other people's reactions to it all. The coffee shops are all so groovy and cool. Of course, the city is full of great history, creative architechtur, beautifull canal water ways and its quite charming like something out of Mary Poppins. Our apartment we rented (from craigslist) ... read more

Europe » Germany » Bavaria » Munich September 29th 2007

It is the last day of our stay in Munich and the sun is shining, presenting a most perfect day. Unlike the day before, which had miserable rain all day long. Our apartment is close to the Olympia Park, so we start out on a walk towards the tower. Somehow as close as it seems we were still so far away and figured out we needed to catch a bus. Olympia Park is quite impressive, with its abstract designs and its beautiful park setting with a large pond teaming with swans, ducks and other sorts of birds. We take trip to the top of the Olympia Tower and saw views all across Munich. Just days before, we were in Marienplatz at the top of Frauenkirche looking across Munich at Olympia Tower. Now we are looking at ... read more

Day 3 of our 4 days in Munich it poured rain ALL day long. That really put a wrench in the site seeing plans. We attempted an afternoon at Oktoberfest, but with the pouring rain it packed those beer tents even tighter than ever. So it was headed for dry ground and went to the Marienplatz area to find a beer hall and get out of the rain. We found and spent the afternoon at Augustinerbrau pub for lunch and beers. When we finally emerged from the pub it had finally stopped raining. It looked like we had a an hour or so before the sun would set, so I made Bill and our friend Dave go to the English Garten while we had the opportunity. It was quiet at the garden and virtually had it ... read more
