I love your humor...
I see a Russina flag next to the Chinese flag. Perhaps they are working together to conquer Bali...dressed up as tourists.

Chinese flag
Oops. Missed that. Unfortunately we're now back home in the real world. Ah well.

I've been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never ever discovered any interesting post like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and blog writers made good material as you did,. the web will be a lot more useful than ever before.

I could use a beach vacation right about now!
I live in the Colorado Rockies at 8500 ft, so I guess it is my fault for having chosen to live many miles from the nearest beach. Enjoy Bali!

The Rockies versus Bali
I think us Aussies must be born with saltwater in our veins. Issy and I will do virtually anything to escape from the cold!

In a sampan at Aberdeen

It strikes me as fortunate that you have these photos of your time in Hong Kong in the 1960s. What wonderful memories they bring back for you. Can't dismiss your travel diary but the photos tell their own stories.

Hong Kong
Fortunately the ever reliable Mr Sung took most of these photos. They're a bit scarcer later in the trip, and much poorer quality.

Born of Australian parents in England. Considering the citizenship issues in Oz I'm wondering if you could be a dual citizen. Any thoughts?

Dual Citizenship?
Believe it or not a former boss suggested I get a British Passport when I needed to go and work in Brunei many years ago - Aussies needed expensive visas, but Brits didn't. The Brits knocked me back, even though I was born there - they said children of foreign diplomats were ineligible, even if they weren't born in the embassy. At least I don't need to worry if I ever decide to stand for parliament......

I love this as I have the hardest time with chop sticks. MJ

I just love to hear other TBer's stories. Especially those that show how travel has changed over the years.
