Well... I came to the comments to comment on the intrigue of French Polynesia; but now I need to comment on the ridiculousness that some person decided that a person visiting Tasmania and Victoria can say they've been to two different countries??? Hahaha that's so ridiculous :)

If you haven’t been to Japan before I think you’re probably going to live, and particularly the gardens. I think our favourite city was Kyoto. Nara was also great.

Congratulations to your daughter and son in law!!!
So far I have a 100% fail rate on performing my wedding ceremony duties. It reached a point where my son wanted to censor my father of the groom speech. This was topped by wetting my suit pants! I"m pleased your performance was perfect!

US Entry
I'm glad all the paper work got sorted out. We lived in the SF area about 3 years. Muir Woods is always a nice day. It is a great city. Yes, the Irish coffee was invented at the Buena Vista. I hope you went there to have one. Happy travels.

Hop on hop off buses
We’ve found them a really mixed bag. We thought the one in San Francisco was great, but in some other cities they seem to move at glacial pace and don’t seem to go anywhere interesting. This seems to apply particularly in Europe where the most interesting bits are often pedestrian only. Maybe we’re just getting picky in our old age….
