I had to laugh when I read that you were the queue jumpers! I was getting ready to be very indignant on your behalf. Regarding your toothless sharks, I think these may be Basking Sharks - they are harmless to humans because they are indeed toothless. From memory they trap their prey by swimming with their mouths open :)

Bloody scammers
Don't be too hard on yourselves...the messages were in the legitimate App too! For whatever reason I've found that we tend to be more reactive to these things when we are travelling; plus they got you on a travel day with checking out, getting to the airport etc. on your mind. Like you said, 10/10 for PayPal's scam awareness :)

If you haven’t been to Japan before I think you’re probably going to live, and particularly the gardens. I think our favourite city was Kyoto. Nara was also great.
