After taking down the tents, which took longer because of those pesky little burrs, breakfast and a quick walk to the lake (my, it is sure pretty here) we headed out into country we missed in the dark last evening. This was even more of a feast to our eyes. So rugged! In the last couple of hours we have seen lots of cactus, mesquite, and gourds. We saw a herd of antelope and some things we gringos thought were mesas, arroyos and desolate land with two lonely cows in a HUGE pasture. Far, far away on the northern horizon are blue mountains--the Sangre de Cristo Range. Lydia has observed that there is no place in Arkansas that you can see the beginning and ending of a 100 car train. Silas has seen so many trains
