Was will man mehr? Da bleibt einem nur ... read more

Ko Samet was lovely, nice beaches just what we needed to chill out for a bit get away from scary Bangkok. Lots of bars playing films and of course we watched the legendary pompmouth scum match where i may just remind you we won 4-1! It was excellent, however tall decided to celebrate a little too much and spent the whole night puking whilst telling me he had caught a tropical disease. stayed up all night checking he was concious!! Oh yeah and we lost the purse, sorry, i lost the purse. With about 2000baht in it and our phone card and return tickets. Shame but its not the end of the world. ... read more

Well there were no tigers and no bears but there were lion fish. I mentioned two weeks ago we were going to go diving in a premiere spot for marine life and it did not disapoint. UNREAL On our first dive, we were not in the water for more than 3 minutes before our first silver tip shark swam by. Very creepy and extremely cool at the same time. Once we saw one, we saw about three more, that the 5 of us went and explored more closely. We got within 5 feet of these things, just laying on the bottom, still as can be ready to strike ( not us thank Buddha)! After the shock of the sharks, were equally impressed with the Turtles that we witnessed mext. I am talking turtles the size of ... read more

Hi Guys Thought I would drag myself away from the beach to give you a quick update. Spent two great nites in a place call Pattaya. Its a mix between Soho and Southend! There was 5 of us girls and 2 lads and we all went to a ladies strip club - the Thai strippers loved us so much they had us up pole dancing with them!! From there we went onto a gay cabaret show - it was the most funniest thing I've ever seen - from Tina Turner to Tarzan shaking his bits in Kates face!! And then all 7 of us got on the back of these motorbike taxis speeding down the road back to our bungalows. We are currently in Ko Samet - its an island thats 4 miles long. Its ... read more

We arrived on Ko Samet on wednesday (26th Jan 2005) after a hair-rasing taxi ride across Bangkok in the rush hour and a four hour bus ride to ferry at Ban Phe. Once on the island we set off walking along the coast, looking for a Bungalow to rent. We initially negotiated for five nights at the "Sea Breeze Beach Bungalows" at Ao Phai ("Ao" is Thai for 'bay') but have just extended for a further 10 nights. Ko Samet is national parkland and as such doesn't really have any buildings except wooden (and sometimes concrete) bungalows and shacks. The beaches are in small coves and wonderfully quiet with pure white sands and electric blue water. We eat every night on mats on the beach, lit by flaming torchlight (very "Survivor"). Occasionally we catch a weather ... read more
