Welcome again to the dribble I leave upon this webspace. I hope my absence has not left you all bereft of the sour juice that makes this life so disturbingly fruitful. Anyhow, welcome back to my onslaught upon the common mind. Wishing you well as we dive back into the abyss below the surface of popular concience... Since my last update things have changed a little. I'm a little weaker in heart than I have been, but life goes on, the world keeps turning and the spread of this filth known as the human race continues. At which, I will begin my tale. Week days have consisted mainly of photo shoots... I've been delving into portraiture and heavy post processing... you'll see all this on my website tomorrow. Semi-teacher quit today because wonderland is a little ... read more

Took the subway out to Suwon today -- an hour ride each direction.... I had thought that Suwon would be a little town surrounded by walls and gates, and it was, sort-of.... Actually, it was a huge city (think the size of Toronto) with a smaller section (think the size of downtown Toronto) that was behind walls and gates. And of course, it was on a mountain! We climbed and climbed and climbed and still only saw about 1/10 of the wall. It was hot (surprise!) of course and we were soaked by the time we got part-way up. I really wonder about the altitude though, because I have trouble breathing just climbing stairs. I know I'm not THAT in shape, but to be huffing and puffing after climbing about 25 stairs is a little worrisome! ... read more

And thus it begins again... the walk down the slime-covered, demon infested path to one's current location. Little has come to pass, yet feeling the urge to write, one has come to give birth to abomination once more. Since the last chapter there has been a few meetings, greetings, gushings and splatterings. It all began with an arranged walk down a stream in Seoul (one mentioned a few times in this blog, previously known as "The Homestead") with the one and only Mengyu. Friday night took us there in the discernibly cooler, yet still hot, muggy weather we've been despotised with recently. Beginning with a short walk we moved down the stream until finding a place to sit and eat a few nibbles. We then moved a little further down and found a place to dip ... read more

I know it's not been long since I topped up the travelblog server with the mess I make wherever I go... but it is time to share with you once again some spillage and a few more defilements for your visual pleasure, and I do mean pleasure. The main reason for this update is to give the photos I took one evening to our dear Hanna from work... I'm sorry they're late. These may also be of interest to the rest of you as well... so please, have a sausage. In my time since writing to you last I've secured the purchase of a new lens for my camera... getting my pay just makes it all so tempting :P. The lens is a Nikkor 50mm f1.8, it's very fast and sharp... but not really for me... ... read more

Oh yes... today's update pertains to nothing except the wonderful experience that is bungee. Forget any silly fears you may have, forget all those drunken drops you've made onto a sidewalk, this is the single most wonderful fall you will ever take. The taleteller here is a man who loves adrenaline but is dead scared of everything. However, loving to challenge this, he went bungee jumping. Much to his delight, he loved it. There's a few photos from his perspective as he was the first jumper of the pair... so undfortunately this time there was no one around to show his pertrified face as he lept over the edge of a 45m tower... but, next time, next time. There are only a few photos on this update, so please check them for updates on this whacky ... read more

It has been a short while since I last poisoned your minds with my doings and a daemon within has urged me to report on my doings, dirty little blighter. Anyways, here begins the account of bugger all. Firstly, you may notice that this blog only has one photo, so I will begin from there. The man in question was walking along a river at around 3am on a warm Anyang evening. Toting $3000 dollars worth of photographic equipment and $1.20 worth of alcohol he was attempting to rid his mind of displeasures and calm his world through imagery. Surely this was not too much to ask for the lad. However, he was accosted by two Korean gentlemen wishing conversation. Quickly deciding that this foreigner was amiable and could speak a degree of Korean warranting at ... read more

Anyang....... I knew it would be a good one. In fact, I almost predicted to a tee how the day would go. Thankfully it went fabulously. Ususally when I look forward to something it all falls apart. Fortunately (this is where I would tell my elementaries, who love the game "Fortunately, Unfortunately"...."no kids, there wasn't an unfortunately this time, and don't you ruin it for me with your pessimism...".......ok, maybe i wouldn't say that) we made it to the hockey game with ourselves and most of the wobbly pops in one piece (Sean almost lost a limb after he dropped the cooler of beers for the bus ride. That would have been a funny riot...20 screaming Canadians beating on an American in the streets of Itaewon). When we got to the arena I could feel my ... read more

I do hope this world finds you all in at least reasonable health. Wishing you all well and that jive, take care. Here's another assault upon your senses for you. I'm sure you can even smell this from where you are. This may not be as bowl shaking and genital giggling as the last update, but I guarrantee you'll need at least one hand free... Anyhow, there's been a few major happenings. Namely... I've become quite old and decrepit... all of 22 years under (and over) my (non-existent) belt. There's also been the discovery of the new Irish Bar in Anyang... which is a bit of fun. They even gave me a cocktail for my birthday! I've met the manager of "FilmNara" the biggest camera accessories distributor in Korea... and his family. They're a lot of ... read more
