So here we are again... random babble for you to stew over. I am indeed back in Korea... the time spent here has brought about a few new experiences, good and bad. My first weekend back entailed a lot of snow and a lengthy shoot in Anam. Many a snowy photo was recorded and a good day was had. The next day saw a bit of a fall on the ice and a very sore knee. Thankfully, camera gear was all ok... meaning I could continue. This snow lead me off to one of the royal palaces again and after that, to a bookstore to purchase National Geographic's photography guide. The following week was discussions with the boss as to a new contract or a return to Australia. I have opted for the latter, however, on ... read more

Annyo everyone, I am just getting a little anxious to get going and I thought I would make sure the travel blog is all set for when we hit the road. Currently we are still in Korea,1 week to go, the bright light is getting brighter and brighter. NOt too much to report, we went to China a few month ago and saw the great wall and Tiananmen square, truly unreal, worth every Yuan spent. anyways this is short to make sure everyone is still getting these and hopefully in the near near future you will get your first glance at what we think of India and beyond!!... read more

Again, bidding you a warm welcome from the land of booze and rudeness... To pick up the (en)trail at the point we last left it... the following weekend was to be had in a city by the name of Osan. It is famous for being an industrial city and having the US Air Force base there, yet still not a lot is to be seen. However, we found some adandoned buildings and factories to take photos of. The day passed by and photos we taken, a restaurant was found, food taken and beverages consumed. All in all a good day. Next of course... I made my way to the land of the rising sun. Departing for Nagoya to see a friend of mine whom I met whilst studying Korean in Seoul. The first night was spent ... read more

'Tis to be an update covering many a day... as I've been quite lethargic... There has been many an outing, many a meeting and many moments lost in swirl of time. I will recall as best I can and recount my adventures for your displeasure. Moments recorded in time tell me that myself and Fiona discovered a section of the city under destruction, an entire block of old apartment buildings being systematically torn down, an excelent location for photography by any stretch. Many a shot has been taken there, some of which can be seen on my DPC profile. A short trip into Seoul and a random exit at a random station also led us to a wonderful memorial tomb of which the gardens were quite magneficent in Autumn (a word I've not forgotten, despite my ... read more

My plight in the land of god's biggest joke yet continues this week with a few new twists, turns and subsequent sicknesses... Picking up where I left off... since then Fiona has arrived back in Korea and is settling in well to a life of dipsomania, vertical drops and photography. Her first night here was an endulgent one, beginning with a bottle of Korea's finest and finishing with Wolf Blass Shiraz... nice. Since that time, photos have been taken, sights have been seen and people have slept. Come Saturday we decided bungee was in order and myself, Scott (our new teacher) and Fiona relocated to Bundang for a 46m drop... thrilling to know that you (most probably) won't hit the water at the bottom... but conversation on the way up is nervously morbid and often leaves ... read more

Greetings and Salutations... The lord's light shined apon me and forth with it came a well endowed bottle of gin... so here you have my present situation... I'm now forty, female and have a beard... Phase 1 - Liquid and Discombobulation Last Wednesday night saw us in the Irish bar (again) for a trivia night... wasn't going to stay too late, but as usual J&T (they misspelt gin) kept me alive and well until 3am when we finished our quizzy action (my team came second... we cleaned up in the English Linguistics round). There I met a rather nice fella from Long Island, we ended up on the same team... turns out he studied comparative literature... interesting guy. I also met an Aussie by the same of Simon, who talks all together too much, but managed ... read more

F**k you all... oh wait... I mean, hello! Greetings and salutations! Sorry to be so crude early in the piece, it's only going to get worse... I left you last time at the point of returning from holidays... this month has been reasonably eventful, so I've decided to write again. Work has been extremely stressful since the departure of our third foreign teacher Daniel... we've now got a new teacher which has made life a LITTLE better... We also had a fundraiser at the Irish bar and donated some stuff to an orphanage. However, as we found out when we got there, it was a very well off orphanage and they probably didn't need our donation, but the kids had fun with us, so that's what matters. Aside from that we've been to Seoul Land Zoo ... read more

well this was my last weekend in korea for a while and boy was it a good won (get it like the money:) ha ha!). Well anyway it was a great weekend as two of my good friends orgainised a scavenger hunt for my going away. That involved a lot of nudity my favorite was when my team all decided to get down to our underwear in the middle of world cup stadium pitch thinking that we were the only people around to find behind us a whole wedding party peering through a window laughing at us!!! Another good one was when one of our team members striped down to her underwear in the middle of KFC, or me getting handcuffed by a police officer which i was quiet shocked for the whole willingness to help ... read more

Over the last 5 days I've ridden many a method of transport to get to many a destination. It's been a wholy fulfilling experience and I really don't want to go back to work... Day 1: Tourists... The journey began on Tuesday morning at 8am with a train ride to meet friend and travel companion Mengyu for the trip we had ahead. After a hearty Aussie breakfast of Vegimite on toast I proceeded to the train station bearing more camera equipment than clothes and made my way to Gimpo airport. After discovering we'd boarded different carriages of the same train, I met Mengyu in Gimpo train station and we ascended to check-in. Following successful checkin, even with a misspelling of my surname we partook in Coffee at Starbucks and took a few random photos of one ... read more

Today's journey will take us through the week or so mother was here and the past few days. Pictures will be uploaded from the new 300gb external drive I have sitting next to me :). Let's take the plunge and drown together in the wonders we're about to behold, or something to that effect. I'll begin by introducing our new teacher: Rachel. She's been good fun thus far and we had a bit of a welcome party for her a couple of weeks ago. This involved a good deal of drink for some of us... particularly me, who ended up on half price gin and tonic. The conversation went something like this: "I think I'm gonna go and get some sleep" *bell rings* - "From now on we'll have half price gin and tonic" "May I ... read more
