Meknes was the next stop. Saw the most holiest city in Morocco...Moulay idriss. Also, saw the roman ruins at Volubolis which I thought were more impressive than those found in Italy, but what do I know, I am only 3 months old. Stayed in a really cool riad. ... read more

I am 3 months old now and it was finally time to see my second continent...Africa and 3rd Country...Morocco. The first stop was Fez. Very different from where I have been thus far, and I loved it. Saw a huge market (medina) which was a never ending labyrinth of interesting little shops. I saw, okay, slept through a show and saw many interesting muslim sights. We hired a taxi to go into the Atlas Mountains and saw some monkeys. One of my favorite things though, was my first swim ever back at the hotel. ... read more

Lep pozdrav vsem! To zame ni prijaznost. Mogoce ... read more

S ful hitrim colnom smo preleteli ozino in se znasli v Afriki. Prvi vecer sva se z dvema Italijanoma nasla sobo in zaceli smo okusati afriske care. Cari so bili najprej zelo podobni ciganiji, ampak ker sem bil ze v Indiji, tu ni bilo nic posebnega. Pozno vstanejo, malo delajo, dolgo lenarijo in pozno hodijo spat. Cele dneve presedijo pred cajnicami in srkajo metin caj ter kavo. Edini problem je, ker je meni najljubsa pijaca - ... read more

As Morrocco was only 10 miles across the sea from Spain, I decided to take a group tour to Tangier in Morrocco. It was an interesting experience, full of aggressive street vendors, cheap deals and great food, and it left me with a small taste that will make me want to return and see more in the future. Here are some photos from my day trip: ... read more

Made it to Morocco. Morocco? Thats not in Europe. Ya i know but t was so close i had to come and check it out. This place is so hectic. First i took an overnight train from Tanger to Marrakesh. I didnt book a couchette (only 9 euro xtra) and so i got a couch, figuring i could try it to see what it was like. Big mistake. First thing off group of people next to me were singing and bangin away for about an hour. Next this kid comes in and hides under the couch. Obviously he didnt have a ticket. That right there made me feel like i was in morocco. then two guys were kickin the door to open it in the other room. i didnt sleep. oh ya and then the kid ... read more

Rather excited as I've just set up my profile on Travelblog.org to document and share my impending journey to become an EFL teacher in Asia and all other traveling. Just feel though it would be a shame to not share some of my more recent past trips with others. Only really going to post photos of these trips and perhaps add some more text at a later date. Morocco: Having already enjoyed a five-week trip in February to Malaysia, Borneo, and Singapore, my trip to Morocco in June was my second time away this year, and my first with a digital camera. For years I refused to purchase a digital camera, as a former student of photography I enjoyed the 'real' thing. Since my purchase however I have not looked back. Morocco was my first real ... read more
