Has anyone driven over either or both of the Tiz-n-Test and Tiz-n-Tichka roads in the past few weeks?

Has anyone driven over the Tiz-n-Test or Tiz-n-Tichka passes in the past few weeks? Is there snow at the top? Are the roads passable in a normal car? Thanks. Reply to this

We did the pass in January and at the time it was completely passable in a normal car. However it did snow after we had done the pass - and this was a few weeks ago so there are no guarantees. Reply to this

Hey Marco!

I was there about a month ago as well, and like Lara and Al said, it is passable but the weather is definitely unpredictable. I went out to through the Tichka, and on my way to the desert it was clear/easy, but on the way back it was snowy, icy, and foggy at all heights. I trusted my driver completely, but there were some curves that even had me a bit nervous because of other drivers. Take your chances, take your time, and be comfortable driving in a country where lane lines aren't as followed as in some other countries.

Good luck! Reply to this
