Having seen the sights of Sydney, I decided to brave the 13 hour bus journey back down to Melbourne. Luckily enough I had two seats to myself, and after purchasing an inflatable travel pillow, I was able to lie down and, well, sleep! We stopped in the capital- Canberra for lunch on the way, and I was shocked at how tiny it was. I swear that Oprington has more hustle and bustle than the capital of Australia! Anyway, not much to report from the bus journey so I'll move on! I was met at the bus station by Mick's poppa (grandfather) who took me back to the appartment in Port Melbourne. He very kindly said I could stay despite Mick being in hopsital (again), only this time he wasn't injured, merely advancing medical science by agreeing ... read more

I visited the The Leonardo da Vinci Machines - An Exhibition of Genius where sixty four models of Da Vinci’s famous machines are featured, many of which can be touched, tried and tested by visitors, and each explores the master’s genius in design. The exhibition is from the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci in Italy. To satisfy the world-wide interest in Leonardo Da Vinci and his creative process, the Florentine artisans of the Niccolai family from Teknoart have spent the last half-century studying the mechanics of his projects and have created an outstanding exhibition of fully functional models of Da Vinci’s inventions. The models have been constructed by the artisans and are based on Da Vinci’s famous codices. There was also two BBC produced documentaries regarding Da Vinci's life on show throughout the day.... read more

... No, I'm not back in Melbourne. Although after what happened this weekend, I really wish I was. All the destinations I've travelled; all the memories I've collected; and all the life experiences I've gathered over the past nine months almost pale into insignificance when learning what I missed. At 5:22am London time, I learnt that the boys at Pantherland had knocked off a team that hadn't been beaten in two seasons. And whats more, done so in a Grand Final... to win a Flag. In 2004 and 2005 I played in two gallant, but at the same time unsuccessful grand final teams. Losing on both occasions absolutely gutted me. Afterwards, the possibility dawned on me that I may never get the opportunity to expereince Premiership success. And now, after 6 consecutive seasons at the club, ... read more

Thursday morning Paul and I arrived in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. It was about 12 days and 1000 miles since leaving Luganville, Vanuatu. The passage was split into two parts. The first part was 4 days from Luganville to Chesterfield Reef. This was a pleasant passage. The winds were 20-25 knots, mostly aft of the beam. And they did us the tremendous favor of reducing as we approached and entered Chesterfield. After a few days at Chesterfield we left for the last leg to Bundy. We left in light winds and probably motored for 36 of the first 48 hours we were underway. Then it all changed in less than 12 hours the winds went from 10knots to 30knots and the seas quickly followed. The run wasn’t a pleasant downwind sail. The winds were abeam to aft ... read more

Dear all, Hope everybody back home and around the world are well! Again a very cool week, week number 4 and no less exciting. Cant really remember what I said in the last blog but I’ll start with the gig I went to last Sunday. I went down to circular quay, which is where the opera hose is, and there was a free gig / live TV show. Its was for Video Hits, kind of like our Top of the Pops. Got lots of cool shots and got on national TV, just in the background, but it was very funny! Then Came the CD Single, The track I worked on, within the first 24 hours of being in the country came out. AND I’ve got credit. As you can see in the pic’s below, I got ... read more

Saturday August 15th / Sunday August 16th Day 29 & 30 London, England to Melbourne, Australia via Hong Kong, China I was up early this morning, I really should have gone to bed earlier. I'd already had my shower the night before, thank goodness. I packed up the remainder of my belongings and made my way to the tube, during peak hour. This was a killer of a trip. Kate was meeting me half way to come to the airport but the trains were chocker-block. Not fun I can tell you. Finally we made it to the airport at around 10:30am and my flight was at 12:20. Kate waited in line with me at check in for about 45minutes. Finally I made it to the counter, checked-in my luggage and it was time to say goodbye ... read more
