I'm planning on moving to Sydney for a while and I'd like to know which area's I should be looking at to live. I'd like somewhere that's not too far from the cbd, easIly accessible by tram or train and of course, cheap. I can afford about 600/month and I'd really rather not share a room. Somewhere with character and lots of young people would be great too.

Manly is a great place for travellers to live. There are quite a few hostels and boarding houses and plenty of night life plus the gorgeous Manly Beach. It is only a half hour ferry ride to the city too. Have fun! Reply to this
