I will be on my College Trip to new zealand later in October.
my faculties and friends have no idea about Hiking and Mountain Climbing Spots in Australia.
Please come up with some awesome suggestions

Reply to this Melbourne has a variety of spots. You should also look at Sydney, I have a sister who went to the Blue Mountains a while back.
Reply to this Katoomba and the Blue mountains area in Sydney used to be good hiking - will wait to see if someone with more recent knowledge can confirm.
One of the must do Hikes is Cradle Mountain in Tasmania - some great blogs here if you do a search.
Reply to this There is quite a few palces to hike depending where you are. Usually near any city there would be national parks nearby. For Sydney I perosnally like to go to Blue mountains because there are just soo many trails you can take. Royal National Park would follow, these hiking trails are abit easier and flat. And if your willing to travel should definitely check out Dorrigo National Park.
