Sat Sept 8: Before leaving Hyder, Alaska we mailed postcards and other mail, to take advantage of the US postal system. The mail arrives and goes out on a float plane on Monday and Thursday, weather permitting. The weather was cloudy with misty rain as we drove inland. Today’s travels took us to Old Hazelton, British Columbia. We camped at ‘Ksan Campground which is adjacent to the ‘Ksan Historical Village and Museum. The village is a replica of the Gitxsan Village that stood at the confluence of the two rivers for centuries. We walked through the closed village in the evening. Tomorrow the light will be better for photos. There was a path to a scenic area through some woods and brush. We headed down towards the river. It was a narrow and windy path, so ... read more

Hi Guys Well it has been a long few days so far but I have enough energy after my hot tub at the hotel in Brooks to send this email. Plus i have some really cool photos that i wanted to share. Day 1 - All the way from Sydney to Calgary - and after a quick 1.5 hour nap we went to the Calgary Tower (similar to the Centrepoint in Sydney). We had a lovely dinner and met everyone that would be on our trip. The photo attached is of the glass floor you can stand on (more scary that you think) and in the other photo you can see the Stampede Grounds (the big oval building with the red & yellow poles on either side). After an exhausting day we were all in bed ... read more

Many of you are already aware but the nanny job didn't work out. I just didn't agree with a lot of the ways the parents were raising their children and I didn't feel like I meshed with the family. There were many issues with the behavior of their 4 year old son, and I just wasn't patient enough to deal with things that I thought were inappropriate for a 4 year old but were justified by the parents. So... I'm on a Job Search again. I need a well paying job for the weekdays. I'm hoping to get onto a supply list. I don't even care which board. If I have to drive far to a job, I have to drive. As long as I get the money. I also have a couple other interviews coming ... read more

Just when I thought that I could settle down, plant my roots and get back to a some what normal life, I up and bought an around-the-world ticket. Hello, my name is Jeremy…I’m a Travelaholic. Alright, here’s the run down. After returning from Africa in June, I just couldn’t get the desire to travel out of my head. I was back at work, but my mind drifted else where. I began skimming the internet for cheap ATW tickets (that’s “around-the-world” - mother) and different variations of possible travel paths. I was merely looking out of curiosity and never thought it was feasible. Then one evening, I came across a travel deal that I just couldn’t pass up - I admit, I’m weak. The ATW ticket hit many of the destinations I have longed to visit and ... read more

"I'm definately NOT returning to work at camp this summer, this last one, or any residential one really." Smiling as I look at summer photos, and laughing aloud as I remember all of the amazing children I was able to interact with, makes me question my statement once said with such certainty. At least for a moment. Although the kids were most definitely the most enjoyable part of the summer, Maine in all its wildness and beauty was right there, too. Acadia, Baxter, and the local ponds, coastal towns, falls, and wildlife were spectacular. Getting back down to Tennessee to see my family was a necessary precurser to a cold winter in New York! My cousins have the most beautiful babies in the world! Okay, so now I'm in yet another paradise on Earth, the ... read more

I should not be allowed to enter Pacific Centre. Yet I still dare to do so. Zjutraj sem sla torej direkt v downtown, ker moram res pocasi nakupiti tisto, kar hocem ze celo leto, to so hlace in ostale cunje v Stitches.
