It was a ten and a half hour difference between here and there. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t sleep past 3 AM on my second day back home. I finally got out of bed try of bed and tried to get my life back to normal. Throughout this day however, I had some harsh realizations that if “normal” was the way I was before I left for India, this way of life would no longer an option. On that early morning, I wandered into the kitchen. Although it seemed as if the rest of the world was sleeping, I knew that was not the case. At this very point in time for a myriad of people labored. Trying not to make too much noise, I decided to do the dishes that lay in ... read more

The Vacation....day one... Traveling to London The plan was simple… get to the airport on time, board our plane, catch our connecting flight, sleep on the flight to London (this should’ve been easy since it was a red-eye), and be fully functional by morning so we could hit the road running. Ok. Not so simple. Getting to the airport and checking our baggage was easy. We were catching our first flight from Richmond, VA to Newark, NJ. Once in NJ we needed to change terminals and jump on Virgin Atlantic to get from Newark to London. Our plane was on schedule, but I was pretty nervous about having enough time to make it to the next flight (obviously I’ve missed a flight before) and what’s more…I was really worried about our baggage making it to the ... read more

And when I realised is was walking in the wrong direction the poor zone was just as nice. I really living in the classiest places.$50 gets you a cockroach infested room, cockroaches are extra tho. This one did have the stadium for the richmond braves next door. That's baseball. And wouldn't you know it they are playing later... So I get a ticket load up with beer nachos and corn dogs and find a seat. God decided to pay me back for taking pictures in his crib the other day and sent in the monsoon.. So no game, but seeing the braves body surfing on the infield raincover was pretty ... read more

We arrived home Wednesday afternoon. God blessed us with a safe trip of over 8100 miles. It seemed when we traveled toward home time dragged. It took 5 days to travel cross country by the “middle route”. We traversed the entire west-east length of Nevada, Wyoming and Nebraska. Then we dropped down to Kansas City, Missouri where we picked up I64. We drove through a small part of Illinois and Indiana, continued eastward through Kentucky, West Virginia and finally into Virginia. It was a great trip. This time we adjusted quickly to the RV routine and even the dogs seemed more relaxed. We are so grateful for the Cozy Turtle’s small size; it can handle narrow curvy roads and small parking places with no trouble. CT gives us a lot of flexibility. We saw beautiful and ... read more

Pop Up Escape #2 Now, it is time for the Pop-Up Escape #2 and we are heading out to go to Newfoundland...all last year, people said you needed to do a separate trip to that country so that it what is on the schedule. We have purchased a new electric blanket and we will need it, I'm sure. I'll hopefully keep a running map so you can see where we are and you can just delete if you don't want to participate or look at any pictures. I believe this blog idea will work better than the way I did it last year. When you click on the link below and it opens, I would put it in your favorites so that it will be easy for you to check the blog. When it opens, click ... read more
