WOW Im supposed to do a quick summary for an update here cause Melanie wants to go drink some wine. I will make more of an update and put some pictures on later when I have access to some better cheaper computers. Had to leave Edinburgh and wow did the amazing archiologist Amanda and all the great folks at Brodies ever make it hard for me to leave. Jill was right, "Once you get sucked in you cant leave" Its kind of a shame I only got to say good bye to a few of the folks cause I had some HUGE hugs saved up for a couple of them and you know who you are!! I can say with 100% certainty say that I will be back in Scotland, when is the question! Well I ... read more

paris is an absolutely 'RAM-killing' city, and i discovered that everything is from the people to make it happen, without the people, those were just ordinary streets only. .凱旋門 ... read more

Today we spent several hours at The Louvre, making it into each of the three "wings" but only covering a fraction of it. We spent the evening revisiting The Latin Quarter, a fun, bustling place where we enjoy a much deserved and even more appreciated two hour three course dinner along one of the quaint walking streets.... read more

After a rather long speedy train ride on the Eurostar Chunnel, we found our hotel, walked around near the Eiffel Tower and the Seine; and went to bed. The next day we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower, toured the Lourve and saw Mona, saw the Arc de Triomphe, walked all around the city, ate French food, and really enjoyed and exhausted ourselves! Yesterday we visited the European Space Agency Headquarters, which was really cool, and we were so grateful the lady involved with education and public relations spoke English! After that; we took a train up to Montmarte and toured the little village, but fournd the shopping to be rather Harwin-esque. In the evening we took a river boat cruise down the Seine and got to see the city of lights at dusk ... read more

So Paris has been beautiful! Yesterday we walked up to Sacre Coeur and had breakfast in the park it was reallly nice aside from the odd guy trying to scam people into having him do this trick and make a braclet on your arm then ask for money when he's does like 20 Euros....we had already been warned about them so we just avoided them even though they were very persuasive.....we saw lots of other people getting scammed though and one guy yelling at the guys for trying to scam him. There was also the odd gypsy coming up and asking is we spoke english then they'd hand you a card that asks for food or money...we had been warned about them as well so we just said nothing when they asked if we spoke english ... read more

K im gonna see if i can add some photos here bare with me!! K I think I added some photos so tell me if you can see them and what you think! We have that night train I wzs talking about last time tonight to Milano, and we have decided to put Venice back on the list so we are still going there!! Also today and yesterday was exceptionally nice. I even got sunburned!! Its interesting to see how much different Paris is when its nice out. The scammers and the Gypsys really come out of the woodworks. We went to the Sacre-Coeur to eat lunch since its almost 3 blocks from our hostel, and immediatly we were being harrassed by these guys to tie a string bracelet on us. When this happens you just ... read more

I made it to Europe! Although the flights we're a bit crazy. We were an hour late leaving Seattle as when the pilot turned the plane on he saw that part of the de-icer was broken so they had to go make sure they had that part and then fix it. They all reccomended that those of us with international flights hold on tight because if we seperate from our luggage now, we might not see it again. So when we landed in LAX they let me off first (always a bad sign) and i was told I had to go outside and check in again with American airlines. After being pointed in the wrong direction and having to run an extra terminal I made it to American and checked in. I went through security and ... read more

Well the countdown to the end of this 3 month dream life I have been leading is beginning...I fly back to NY on the 14th...holy crap that is way too soon!!! Just arrived to Paris, one of our first stops and I am happy to report that I have been greeted by the sun instead of the biting cold and fog that we encountered the first ti,e around back in March. And although the city is beautiful, I must say I am feeling a little blue to have left the mountains and the friendly Mountain Town of Chamonix. While in Chamonix I stayed at the most amazing hostel...if you can call it that...it was more like staying at an old friend's home for the week in the middle of some of beautiful scenery and in the ... read more
